It was Sunday morning and rain was falling. Five of the six people inside the shared penthouse apartment were busy moving around carrying stuff all over the place while the other one was just sitting in the living area.
"Guys, let's not make a big deal out of this," Luhan said.
"Why not? It's your birthday!" Baekhyun replied.
"And we are going to do a grand celebration," Xiumin mentioned with enthusiasm.
"Why does have to be grand?" Luhan groaned.
"Because Soo is coming!" Kai giggled with a tease.
"Why does it feel the celebration is more about Kyungsoo-ssi and less about my birthday," Luhan was playfully offended.
Lay hugged Luhan from the side, "No, hyung. It's more like half-and-half."
"That's it. This day is officially ruined," Luhan whined dramatically.
"Happy birthday, hyung!" Tao retorted, causing all six of them to burst into laughter.

Kyungsoo was standing in the middle of his walk-in closet, thinking about what he should wear for Luhan's birthday. Quite truthfully, Kyungsoo was not really fond of fashion, but he decided to give his outfit tonight much thought since it was a birthday celebration and also, it was the first time he was meeting Kai's friends in a casual setting.
As he was going through his wardrobe, Kyungsoo got a brilliant idea. He hurriedly reached for his phone and sent someone a message regarding his plans. It didn't take long for the said person to give his approval, making Kyungsoo smile. Onto the next step of his plan, call the other person involved.
"Hello, hyung?" the person on the other side of the line answered.
"Good morning, Sehun-ah."
"Why did you call this early? It's the weekend."
"I just want to let you know that I will be attending Luhan's birthday party today and you're coming with me," Kyungsoo did not beat around the bush. "I won't take 'no' as an answer."
"But, hyung!" Sehun whined. "It's too sudden! I don't know what to wear! And worse, I didn't even have a gift yet!"
"Well, you have eight hours to work with. We are going by five," Kyungsoo ignored the younger's whining. "Either you come here or I will fetch you at your house."
"Fine, hyung. I'll be there."
"And don't tell anyone. It's my surprise to Luhan."
"All right! All right! I understand!"
"Hmmm... I might be the legend of the earth but I can be a good matchmaker as well," Kyungsoo was proud of himself.

Sehun was frantic; he was carefully rushing through the mall to find a gift for Luhan. His mind was quickly browsing for ideas on what could be a good gift for Luhan. He did not even care for a bit that people were recognizing him.
"A car? A car is too much."
"Jewelry? But I don't even know what's his style."
"A brand new phone? His current one seems to be still working well."
