Baekhyun was actively helping set up his small celebration. He was decorating, assisting with the cooking and baking, and even cleaning. Baekhyun was making sure everything was just right. Not only was his Chanyeol coming, but he was also doing his big reveal tonight.
"By the way, I invited someone to come over. I hope you don't mind," Baekhyun told his housemates.
"It's alright. It's your celebration after all," Xiumin dismissed.
"I also invited a guest to come. Sorry for the last-minute heads up," Luhan mentioned.
"It's fine. The more, the merrier!" Baekhyun indeed did not mind at all.
"Is Kyungsoo-ssi coming with Kai?" Lay wondered.
"He is. Kai told me yesterday before they left the Central Office parking area," Tao answered the question.
"All the more reason for us to make sure everything will go smoothly," Baekhyun was determined.
"You're doing too much; it's your birthday," Luhan told Baekhyun.
"If you want something done right, do it yourself," Baekhyun responded in a singsongy manner.

Chanyeol was at the mall after lunch. He had to buy his gift for Baekhyun before coming over to their penthouse apartment. Unlike Sehun, he already had an idea of what to buy for his legend of light.
"Welcome back to Obsession Jewelries, Your Excellence. How may I help you once again?" the sales lady from before welcomed Chanyeol. He was in the same jewelry store where they previously bought their rings.
"It's my legend of light's birthday today. I need something as a gift," Chanyeol said.
"Any particular ideas you have in mind?"
"I want something that would emphasize his status as the legend of light," Chanyeol stated.
"Okay, I can work with that," the sales lady was confident. "This way, Your Excellence."
The sales lady led Chanyeol to one corner of the store.
"The first option, Your Excellence, is simply diamonds. Diamonds are known for their sparkle under direct light," the sales lady gestured to the display cases filled with various forms of jewelry with diamonds.
Chanyeol looked around. There were necklaces, earrings, bracelets, brooches, and even rings. Unfortunately, nothing stood out to Chanyeol.
"I don't think large diamonds are a right fit," Chanyeol realized. "Diamonds are too flashy and he doesn't want to be in the spotlight."
"In that case, Your Excellence, we have other options," the sales lady transferred to another area of the store, "Iridescent gemstones are also a good option. It's a subtle way of showing his various charms."
"What options are here?"
"Opals, labradorites, aura quartz, moonstones, and pearls are just some of the gemstones and crystals that produce the play of color phenomenon to display the full spectrum of colors," the sales lady showed Chanyeol adjacent display cases containing said pieces of jewelry.
Chanyeol scanned once again. The display cases still contained the same variety of pieces of jewelry containing different gemstones but still, none was up to Chanyeol's standards.
"I'm still not feeling any of these but I think the full spectrum of light is in the right direction," Chanyeol was doing his very best to describe what he wanted to the sales lady. "The diamonds early were too gaudy while these are too conservative. Why don't we find something in the middle? Something that displays the full visible spectrum of light yet something with character but not too flashy."
