The Department of Natural Resources was about to have their lunch when a person entered their office carrying something.
"A package for Byun Baekhyun-nim?" the delivery person said.
"That's me," Baekhyun went near the person.
"A bouquet and two whole strawberry shortcakes. Please sign here, sir," the delivery person.
Baekhyun signed the paper and thanked the person. The person immediately left after performing his duties.
"Another package, Baekhyun-ssi?" Seulgi was impressed.
"Wait. Are those a bouquet of Nostalgie roses? Your suitor must be well-off," Yeri pointed out.
"You can tell just by the roses?" Jiltu was surprised.
"I came across that rose during one of my botany classes. Nostalgie roses are a rare variety of roses. Just one rose stem costs about nineteen dollars," Yeri shared what she knew.
"So this bouquet with a dozen roses would have cost... a whopping two-hundred twenty-eight dollars!" Joy used the calculator app on her phone for accurate calculations.
"And each of this strawberry shortcake from the famous Cream Soda café costs around eleven dollars," Irene did mental arithmetic. "So, for this package alone, Baekhyun's suitor spent around two hundred fifty dollars?"
"Wait, there's a note," Wendy noticed. "Good morning, Hyunnie. Hope you like the roses. Also, one whole cake is for you and the other one is for your office mates. I hope you all enjoy."
The ladies shrilled in happiness, "Thank you very much, Baekhyun's suitor!"
"For the meantime, let me just put this bouquet on my desk and the cakes in the break room fridge, then let's have lunch." Baekhyun calmed everyone down.
"Jiltu-ssi, are you coming?" Irene asked the intern.
"I'll take my lunch later. I still have papers to finish," Jiltu declined with a smile.
And so, everyone sans the intern went out for lunch at the cafeteria. Throughout lunch, the ladies were just thinking about the cake waiting for them. When they returned, a horrible sight welcomed them, Baekhyun's bouquet was destroyed and left on the floor.
"The expensive Nostalgie roses!" Yeri was crying over spilled roses.
"Who would have done this?" Joy could only cover her mouth.
"Let's ask Lucy-ssi who might have entered our office," Irene thought of an idea and turned around. "Lucy-ssi, did anyone come into the office?"
"No, Irene-nim. The last person there was Jiltu-ssi but she left for lunch. Nobody came before you returned," Lucy mentioned.
Just as Lucy finished talking, Jiltu came out of the elevator together with Seungcheol, Jeonghan, and Joshua.
"Jiltu-ssi? Did you do something to Baekhyun-ssi's bouquet?" Irene started the investigation, catching the attention of the executive assistants of the professional regulation bureau.
"I'm terribly sorry about that Baekhyun-ssi but it seems I am allergic to roses. So, I had to eliminate the source of my allergens," Jiltu apologized, not sincerely I might add.
"So, you just destroyed the bouquet without telling Baekhyun-ssi?" Joy scowled.
"You could have just put it in the break room to avoid triggering your allergies even further," Seulgi added.
