Upon arrival, Baekhyun was met with five teasing smiles and one scowl. Based on their reactions, he deduced that another gift must have been on his desk.
"Looking good today, aren't we, Baekhyun-ssi?" Wendy's look was teasing.
"Excited to assist His Excellence in this afternoon's press conference?" Seulgi joined in.
Instead of doing it in the morning, the press conference for Baekhyun and Luhan's public reveal was scheduled first thing in the afternoon as Luhan already had a pre-fixed meeting with the education department's provincial supervisors in the morning. Due to his role in this afternoon's event, Baekhyun wore a black shirt, a pair of red suit and slacks, and slip-in loafers.

"What is it this time?" Baekhyun went straight to the point.
"It seemed somebody forgot to give a certain someone their birthday present so it was left here instead," Joy's tone was teasing.
"I can smell jewelry," Yeri said in a crescendo.
On his desk sat a small velvety box tied with a ribbon and a note. The note was quickly snatched by Wendy.
Irene cleared her throat and read the note using an exaggerated cutesy voice, "My love Hyunnie. I'm sorry I forgot to give you your birthday present last Saturday. I hope I can see you wear this ring later during the press conference."
"Open it, Baekhyun! We're dying to know what's inside," Joy was jumping up and down.
"Why are you more excited than me?" Baekhyun shook his head in amusement.
What they saw inside was a silvery ring with multi-colored gemstones in between fluorescent crystals. Irene took a picture of the ring on her phone and used the image search to find a match.
"Goodness gracious with that ring, Baekhyun," Irene's jaw dropped when she got the results.
"What is it? What is it?" Wendy was pulling Irene's sleeves for the information.
"That ring, ladies, is the Rainbow Sapphire and Diamond Cocktail Ring by Phillip Stoner The Jeweller. It is a ring crafted in 18-carat white gold. The vivid hues of the princess cut sapphires in the middle are enhanced by rows of scallop-set white diamonds on each side," Irene read the description of her phone.
