The picture above is my interpretation of Ava Williams. The actress is named Lily Collins. If you prefer another actress please put it in the comments.😉

This is my first book! I have actually had wattpad for a while, but this is a new account. I decided I will be writing on this account, just in case this book sucks :) Please feel free to give helpful comments, and restrict yourselves from sending nasty ones. Also I would like to thank you all for deciding to give this story a chance, I really do appreciate it.

Ava pov

I stared out the glistening window. It was beautiful, well the best I have seen these days. The clouds allowed the sun to slightly beam into the room. I leaned my body back in my seat and turned my attention back towards my empty note book. There were so many blank lines.

"Ava! Did you hear me?" Miss Waters boomed out in an irritated tone. I immediately looked at her, with the class giggling and whispering who knows what about me. I blushed slightly, out of embarrassment. I hastily tried my best to cover it.

"I'm sorry....could you please repeat that Miss Waters?" I asked with the most politeness I could master up. She gave out an exasperated sigh as she pushed her straight, brunette hair backwards. She looked quite sweet but her personality was surprising nothing like her looks. Miss Waters was like a delicious looking cupcake...without the sugar. The sudden thought made me hungry. I brought my focus back to her before my stomach started rumbling out of hunger. Her eyes flickered away from her notes then back towards me.

"How do I find what x equals from equation 3 on the board?" She asked finally. I looked at the whiteboard to see multiple questions scattered everywhere. My eyes scanned the board, finally landing on the third question. The equation looked the hardest out of the lot, she definitely did it intentionally! I hesitated, the equation looked almost impossible to answer within a few minutes. I looked at her again, slowly opening my mouth to act as if I was about to say something.

The bell rang indicating the end of school. Most of the students quickly jumped out of their seats grabbing their books as they ran out of the door. Saved by the bell. Relief washed over me as I stood up collecting my belongings. "Ava, stay back for a moment okay?" Miss Waters yelled over the sounds of the teenagers. I nodded obediently.

"Something is up with that girl...she looks as if she's stoned" a girl whispered as she made her way to the door. I peered over to a bunch of girls making their way out of class. I immediately knew who said it. She was Natalie, the stereotypical mean girl. I think she idolizes Regina Gorge. She turned around to face me, with a sickening smirk plastered on her fake face. Her minions giggled as they saw our small encounter. I turned away in an instant, trying to avoid her strong gaze. As everyone made their way out of the classroom I walked slowly towards Miss Waters' desk. She stopped her typing and looked up at me as my footsteps came closer.

"So Ava,"she began as she gestured me to take a seat. I pulled up a seat. As I sat she started tapping her manicured nails against the hard, wooden desk. "You seem to be quite...distracted lately, you haven't been paying attention, answering questions and your marks have dropped slightly" she said. I tensed in my seat. "Is there something wrong? I mean there is always someone you can talk to here. You're a smart girl, I know it and so do you. But your marks... well.. they are showing anything but that" she said.

I tightened my ponytail as I thought of something to say. "Well...it's just...." I paused and started again "nothing is wrong.. I guess I haven't been putting the effort in lately"I said, hopefully not sounding too suspicious. She looked slightly worried for a moment but quickly hid it.

"That excuse won't cut it next time Ava, okay? You really need to get you head back into your studies" she said slightly frustrated, probably from my vague answer. I nodded, while pushing my chair back to stand.

"I think I should go now, my mum must be waiting" I said while standing up. I gave a smile and headed towards the door. She gave a small smile in response and put her attention back on her laptop.

I rushed out the door towards my locker. I heard random names being yelled after me. "Loser" ,"nerd" and "skinny b*tch" to name a few. I never really understood why I was bullied. Natalie was the one who started it all. As she became more and more popular, more and more people followed her actions. The only real reason that came to my head, was the fact I was at the school on a scholarship. The school is competitive and everyone wanted the scholarship.

I have been ignoring the names for the last couple of days. The reason being, I have decided to move schools. Yes I know, I am just running away from my problems... but I really don't have any other reasonable option.

I walked over to where my locker was located, only to see someone already there. Natalie. I quickly turned the other direction before she had the chance to notice me. I avoided the glares and went into the girls' bathroom. Everyone left at school were mostly those who were going to detention, which didn't help me.

My thoughts went back to Natalie. Every time I would find her at my locker she would always reticule me, finding every single poor quality about me. I went into one of the stalls and sat on the toilet seat. My daily regime after school to avoid people.

"Ava" a voice erupted in the bathroom as the door swung open. I could recognise that voice anywhere. I got up and unlocked the door to see my best friend. Her name is Laura, she was the one person here who always looked out for me. A smile covered her face as she saw me. I returned the gesture. She always knew where to find me.
