I pushed open the girls' bathroom with all my strength. The door slammed behind me and I carelessly walked in. My gaze lifted up to see Sarah reapplying her makeup. She must have sensed my presence because her focus came on me. She dropped her hand that held her mascara. The amount of amount of blue she was wearing overwhelmed me. Okay fine..the only blue thing she was wearing was a blue sundress. I pressed my lips together and strode towards on of the nearest stalls.
"Are you dating him?" she asked bluntly. I furrowed my eyebrows and turned away from the door to Sarah's caked up face. I assumed she was talking about Nicholas. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"I'm not dating anyone" I said clear enough for her to understand. She gave a slight role of her eyes and turned back to the mirror and started applying her mascara. I gave a heavy sigh.
"You're too obvious" she muttered under her breath. I'm not sure if she said it intentionally to annoy me but I got p*ssed.
I should've probably kept my mouth shut, but because I'm me I spoke. "What's obvious?" I asked, I couldn't help but keep the venom in my voice. She pursed her lips and turned around with a slight glint in her eyes. She placed a manicured hand on her hip and took a few steps forward, towards me.
"You're all over him, you really are needy aren't you?" she said with a forced chuckle. I tiled my head slightly at her and raised an eyebrow. Is she kidding me? I rolled my lips in and nodded slowly as if she was a little kid who asked "are unicorns real?" and the teacher is just like "yeah, totally". "You. Are. Obvious" she whispered one word at a time.
"Honey, you're jealousy is taking over your imagination. To be honest you're the one all over him. You're the needy one. You're the obvious one" I said nonchalantly. Her face as I spoke each word nearly made me wet myself. It's understandable I mean, I thought she was going to strangle me at any moment also she held me up, I really needed to go to the bathroom. However I kept my strong stance and gave her a forced smile. I turned around and quickly went into the stall. Is there a Natalie at every school?

I pushed my money further in my pocket and linked arms with Mia. All the students were everywhere now, as it was the end of the day. Mia and I had decided to go shopping since we hadn't really gone out with just the two of us after we had rekindled our friendship. She pushed her dirty blonde hair just like a model would just before her shot. As we exited the main school building, the first thing I noticed was Sarah and Nicholas. I stifled a giggle. She must have been sucking up to him. I watched Luke as he came up to the two, clearly interrupting the conversation. Nicholas started laughing at something Luke said whilst Sarah just looked slightly annoyed. I don't know if it was because of something he said or it was because he interrupting their interesting conversation.
"Babe, whatcha lookin' at?" Mia asked as she looked over to the three of them. She whipped her head to me with with a scrunched up face of confusion. I rested my head on her shoulder and laughed.
"You know Sarah?" I asked her. I heard her groan.
"Eugh...I wish I didn't. She can be a biatch"she said quietly. I nodded in agreement and lifted my head to be levelled with hers. I took a quick glimpse of the three of them and they were still there, except Sarah didn't seem to be part of the conversation. I turned back to Mia.
"She said that I'm all over Nicholas and said that I'm needy. She says it's obvious" I said in a mimicking tone. Mia's jaw dropped, she looked past me to Sarah and her face went vengeful.
"Hang on Ava, I'll be right back" she said as she stomped over to the three. My eyes widened and I quickly caught up to her, and forcefully pulled her back by her elbow.
"No , you aren't!" I say. She gave a pout and I shook my head laughing. Even though I really want to see what Mia is going to do to Sarah, it isn't worth it. Sarah isn't worth it. "We'll talk about it once we're out of here, okay?" I told her as if she was a child. She sighed in defeat and flipped off Sarah before coming with me. Hopefully Sarah didn't see that, I don't want to see her bad side again.
I dragged her towards the bus. Yes, we're taking the bus. We can't get our driver's licence, we're too young (crying on the inside). The bus was nearly filled up when we set foot. Luckily there were two spare seat next to each other near the far end of the bus. Mia placed her hands on my shoulders and walked behind me, allowing me to lead the way.
