Below my feet was the hot sand. The sun was burning, I could tell you that. A few hours ago Jack had texted us girls regarding this beach 'get together' Nicholas and him were organising. I had no intentions of going, however once I told Lauren (should've known not to tell her) she begged me to go, saying: "you deserve to have a little 'fun' time to time". Right now, she was standing next to me barely capable of restraining her excitement. Usually she was very composed, so this was a bizarre experience for me. "Eeeee we are at a freakin' beach party! I've always wanted to go to one!" She whispered in my ear with glee.

I couldn't help but be happy with her. She had told me (after I finally gave up and said yes to coming to the party with her) that I need to go to her place and borrow her clothes so I would look like a normal teenager at a beach party. I asked her what that meant by that but she hadn't elaborated.

Over my bikini bottoms I had her loose shorts on. They were short . I started complaining obviously, but she didn't budge. I was also wearing one of her tank tops, the bikini tops straps peeking through the top. If I didn't look like one of 'those teenage girls' right now, then I have no idea who would. I pulled my brunette hair into a topknot. It was hot and my hair was all wavy and crimped because I couldn't be stuffed styling it, it was going to get wet anyway. And your girl is makeup free.

Lauren had on her denim shorts (which were shorter than mine!) and a crochet crop top.  She asked/forced me to tie her blonde pin straight hair into a pony tail because her arms were too exhausted.

Mia said she'd be here with the rest of the girls but couldn't find her. I caught sight of Jack and Luke though. I elbowed Lauren slightly to gain her attention. "Oi, that's Jack and Luke. They go to my school. Jack and I used to go to the same school before....not that you care" I whispered. She pondered over what I said and nodded in agreement.

"Jack, Luke" I yelled out. I wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't heard me. There were already so many people on this beach. They seem to have heard their names because their heads whipped around the beach. I threw my arm up to gain their attention, then struck a pose to gain even more . Luke saw me and laughed. He smacked Jack and pointed towards me. I tugged Lauren along to where the two boys were. She was eyeing the boys and I gave her a raised eyebrow.

"What? I mean are all the boys at your school models or something...jeez" she muttered. I laughed her comment off as we reached Luke and Jack.

Jack came over and gave me a tight hug. He's a hug type person. He turned his attention towards Lauren and smiled. "I'm Jack" he said pointing towards himself, then pointed towards Luke "he's Luke". Luke gave a hurt expression.

"I'm capable of introducing myself" he said frowning. I just stared at him not expecting anything else from him. He brought his hand out to Lauren.

"My name is Luke, nice to meet you" he said politely. It sounded strange coming out of his mouth. I looked at him weirdly but Lauren didn't seem to mind. She shook his hand and smiled.

"Nice to meet you too. I'm Lauren" she answered taking back her hand.

"Well Lauren, thanks for coming" Jack said. Wow, she is going to love these boys after today.

She smiled and gave a dismissive wave of her hand"No worries". Luke turned his attention towards me and opened out his arms.

"Give me a hug Ava" he said sweetly. A little too sweetly. I crossed my arms and gave him a pointed look, he dropped his arms and gave me an identical look.
