Hello! I just wanted you all to know, that the spelling of words in my country may be different to what you are used to. So, please excuse that. Enjoy!

Ava pov

I walked through the classroom doorway, with my backpack strap steadily placed on my shoulder. Imogen walked in confidently tugging my hand to come with her. I looked around the classroom to see most of the seats taken up with students, who had just seem to have noticed me. I gave a tight-lipped smile to some of the students and looked at Imogen. She didn't seem to be concerned about the students who were now staring. "Okay, uhhh....we'll seat over there" Imogen said gesturing towards the seats in the middle of the class. I had a habit of seating in the back corner of the classroom in my lonesome. I took a deep breath and nodded helplessly. She seemed to notice my discomfort and smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry. You are going to fine babe" she said. I smiled back and sat down. Most of the students looked very smart, since this was an advanced class I wasn't surprised. The classroom was bigger than what I was used to, it must be because there were quite a few students here. I ran my fingers through my hair repeatedly as I looked around the room. Imogen was shuffling through her notes, as if she was looking for something.

"Hey Imogen" a boy said in a flirtatious tone. I promptly turned to Imogen, who was seated to my left. I saw an attractive boy, with blonde hair standing next to her. He was wearing a confident smirk. I was quite surprised he was in an advanced class, I know I was being stereotypical, so sue me. She looked at him unaffected, in fact she looked slightly distracted.

"Yeah. What is it now Luke?" she asked flatly. Imogen put her attention back to her notes as she waited for Luke to speak.

"I was just wondering if you're coming to the party tonight. It is gonna be so good you won't forgot it" he asked as he shoved his hands in his pockets. He seemed to have suddenly noticed me because he looked over at me curiously and added with a wink "You can bring your hot friend over there as well". I gave him a face and shuffled uncomfortably in my seat. Imogen suddenly looked at him once he added that comment. She raised an eyebrow and spoke.

"You are not hooking up with her. So if you don't mind could you please stop trying to flirt with Ava? To answer your question, of course I am coming, who am I to miss a party?" Imogen said slightly irritated as she pulled out a sheet of paper. "By the way, have you done your homework? I seriously don't get the whole sheet" she asked. Luke rolled his eyes and grabbed her sheet.

"Oh that, nah...Mr Clarke loves me. I'll just make an excuse" Luke said as he passed Imogen the sheet. She took the sheet and gave him an exasperated look. He dismissed it and walked back to his seat. Imogen looked back at me and shrugged.

"Ignore him. He is always a pain in my back side" she said smiling. The boy to my right abruptly stood up and looked out the classroom window.

"He is coming guys" he yelled over everyone's chattering. He immediately sat down. Everyone sat back in their seats and organised their sheets frantically. I felt like laughing at how panic-struck they had suddenly became. My eyes drifted around and the only students who looked care-free were Luke and his buddies. I silently shook my head and faced the front. A man walked in, presumably Mr Clarke. He looked in his mid-fifties wearing a thin woolen jumper and carrying a leather briefcase.

"Hello, how are we all?" he asked as he placed his briefcase on his desk. Some of the students gave an incoherent answer. "Wow, you guys really do love maths, don't you?" he asked sarcastically. He came to the front of he classroom and stood there with a bunch of papers in his hand. "Is anyone away?" he asked as his eyes scanned the room. They stopped on me and he gave himself a face palm. "I am so sorry, you must be Ava. I am Mr Clarke, nice to meet you" he said sheepishly.
