The bell for lunch had finally rang. I jumped out of my seat and collected my belongings hastily. Out of no where, I felt someone grab my hand as I was about to leave. I looked down to see Emily still in her seat copying down her notes as she kept grip of my hand. "Babe, can I copy you notes please?" she asked tuning her attention to me with pleading eyes.

I nodded in response and helped her pack up. "I still have a headache from the party" she groaned as I passed her the notes. I patted her shoulder in pity. Everyone but the two of us were out of the room. Her face suddenly jolted more awake as if she had remembered something important. "Oh my gosh! I forgot to ask you before! Why didn't you tell me you're dating Nicholas? I mean you two are soooo adorable! I mean I cannot even...oh my gosh..."she said swinging her hands everywhere. I looked at her wide-eyed. Me and Nicholas dating? Say what?! I quickly placed my hands on her shoulders to gain her attention.

"Nah uh uh. I am not dating him, let alone anyone!"I say quickly. I dropped my hands and placed my palms on each of my cheeks. For her to actually consider me to be in his...league was different to say the least. Nicholas dated girls who will end up being models. I am not in that category. Her face dropped instantly, causing me to feel guilty.

"What?! But..but you guys were together...holding hands and stuff. I wasn't that drunk was I?" she asked with confusion clear on her face. I scrunched up my nose, there is no excuse for the holding hands is there? I mean I don't really understand why he did it myself.

"I have known him since my first school year. I only ever spoke to him like once or twice when we were in school together. For the holding hands and stuff I think it was because he didn't want me to leave once Luke came, since he sort of interrupted our conversation..."I said trailing off. Emily's mouth opened slightly as she tried to comprehend my words.

"Riiiiigggghhhht....that isn't strange at all" she said laughing. I shrugged and smiled. "He is hot though, like the model kind. Any girl would date him if they had the chance girl. I mean you could totally be his girlfriend if you wanted to" she said as we exited the classroom. I covered my (most probably embarrassed) face with my hands and groaned. Just the thought of him makes me have a bizarre feeling in the pit of my stomach. When I think of Nicholas my mind goes straight to that conceited boy everyone loved. But I always remembered the other night and my vision of Nicholas changed to the boy I always wanted him to be.

Emily dragged me to my locker with so much enthusiasm it almost frightened me. As I finally made it to my locker, Emily moved in the direction of her own. I neatly stacked away my science books. The sudden sound of Imogen rattling her lock open distracted me. She looked over at me and gave a glistening smile. "Oh man, did Mr Clarke come to your class and give you those sheets?" Imogen asked sounding slightly irritated. She pushed her brunette hair back as she shoved her books in.

"Yep and he told us it is due on Wednesday. There are like a million sheets, I don't know how I'll do it by then" I said tiredly. I took my lunch out and shut my locker.

Imogen quickly nodded before hastily closely her locker. "I don't think any of us will finish it on time" she said. We both walked over to the rest of the girls, who were standing next to the entrance.

"What?! As if!" Lauren said shocked. Emily was nodding frantically.

"Ask her yourself!" Emily said as we arrived. Mia, Lauren and Emily whipped their faces around to look at me wide-eyed. I looked between them confused.

"Hi guys"I said with a small chuckle. They all got out of their faze and smiled.

"Hi Ava" Mia said. Emily looked at the two girls with accusing eyes.

"Well? I ain't asking girls, because I already did" Emily said with sass. I felt a soft tap on my shoulder and I looked up to see a very bemused Imogen.

"What are they talking about?" She whispered.

"I have no idea" I whispered back.

Once Mia cleared her throat to gain our attention, I looked at the three girls. "Umm..sooo...Ava, apparently you're not dating Nicholas" Mia said nonchalantly. I raised an eyebrow at Emily, who gave a sheepish smile in response.

"Who said she isn't?!" Imogen suddenly asked sounding utterly surprised. Wow...they were that invested in this? Emily gave a nervous chuckle and Imogen squinted her eyes at her.

"I never did" I said. Lauren, Mia and Imogen gave me an almost scrutinising gaze. "Really! I have no idea where this even came from" I defended. Okay, so maybe I did know since Emily told me earlier...but still, acting oblivious is the best option during times like these. I patted the imaginary dirt off my skinny jeans.

"Don't worry guys, I still ship it. Our ship can get through this" Emily dead panned. I threw my head back and groaned.

"There is no ship. It had sunk once I told you guys we weren't dating!" I hissed. Mia laughed at my annoyance. I gave her a death glare which lessened the laughter. "Okay, now that we all are on the same page" I said looking at them with a look saying 'don't ruin this for me', "we can talk about something more interesting".

The bell, signifying the end of classes echoed through the work bounded classes. Oh the glory. I stuffed all my sheets into my bag and quickly collected the rest of my books as I exited the room in a frantic mess. I was in a rush to head home.
