Hello! The image above is what Ava is wearing to her first day of school 😄. I am having trouble finding an actress to play Mia. If you guys have any suggestions please add them in the comments. Enjoy!
----------------------------------------------Ava pov.
"Honey...honey, come on. Wake up" a voice rang in my ear. I rolled over covering my head with my pillow. I groaned out of tiredness.
"5 more minutes" I muttered, my voice was muffled by the pillow.
"You have been sleeping for hours. Get up, otherwise you won't be able to sleep tonight" my mum said as she shook me to get up. What, it isn't morning?
"Eugh, seriously? It's still Monday?..."I croaked out. I lifted the pillow off my head and gave an incredulous glance to her. My mum started chuckling at my distress. I felt her weight lift off my bed as she got up.
"Okay, my mission is accomplished. Now, we need to talk schools" she said. I looked at what her gaze was turned towards, she was looking at my old uniform. Was she upset? If she was, she was definitely not showing it.
"mhmm" I mumbled. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "I searched up this school earlier...umm...oh yeah Mountain Valley" I said, squinting as my eyes readjusted to the lighting.
"Mountain Valley? Aren't we supposed to ask for a spot a year or so before? That school is really popular" mum questioned.
I got off my bed and started redoing my hair. "I am sure if we tell them I came from South View Academy on a scholarship, they would want me to enroll to their school" I said.
"You're right, I will call them now" my mum said. She headed towards the door. "I am going to try to get you into school as quick as possible, so be prepared" she added as she shut my door.
"Okay" I yelled blithely. I had a weird feeling I wouldn't be going back to my normal, mundane life after I started attending this new school. Being asleep all day had made me ravenous. I went out of my room in search of food. I have a great relationship with food.

"Honey, wake up!" my mum yelled from the distance. I ignored her and pulled my quilt up higher.
"Your new school starts today, they called early this morning! Get up, before I pull you out!" she yelled. School?....School! I jumped out of bed startled. I looked at the time, it lit up with the digits 6:45 am.
"When does school start?" I yelled out tiredly. I stretched out and rubbed my eyes. The sun beamed in through the windows hitting me directly in the face. Great...how I love the mornings.
"Well it starts at eight, but it takes 20 minutes to get there. So be ready by 7.35" She replied. I caught a whiffed of breakfast, and it smelt delicious. I reluctantly got out of bed, and saw myself in the mirror. Did I look horrible. I went into the bathroom and started brushing my teeth. I wonder if the school will be good. Maybe I can make friends with Mia again. I had lost contact with her a few years ago. I finished brushing my teeth and splashed the cool water on my face.
I'm starting at a new school, first impressions definitely count. I dragged myself towards my wardrobe. I realised what I needed was a fresh start. I looked at the back of my wardrobe to clothes I hadn't worn very often. They were clothes I loved, but I didn't have the confidence to be myself. I decided to wear my black high waisted jeans that were ripped at the knees. I then picked out a black and white striped crop top and tied a red flannel around my waist. I grabbed my high tops and put them on. I needed to actually do something to my hair and face, I thought as I remembered the state of it. I don't ever wear make-up, but for once I want to try it.
I walked over to mum's room and planted myself at her vanity. I stared at myself for a good three minutes deciding what I wanted to do for my hair. I should just straighten my hair. I pulled out mum's trusty ghd straighter and plugged it into the socket. While it heated, I decided to do my makeup. I opened mum's makeup compartment and pulled out anything that looked familiar. I am a HUGE YouTube fanatic, so all I know of makeup comes from YouTube. I coated my lashes with two coats of mascara. Hastily, I buffed some powder all over my face for a bit of coverage. My eyebrows needed a bit of something....I brushed through them and applied some brow gel aiming to make them look somewhat less ratchet. I looked at them...what do teenagers say these days? Oh yes! Brows on fleeeek. I chuckled to myself, I'm so in with the cool kids. I quickly swiped a nude lip gloss against my plump lips. By now the straighter had heated, I straightened my hair bit by bit until it was pin straight. I then walked over to the full length mirror to examine myself. Wow, I thought to myself. I actually looked...good. I smiled at myself before hopping downstairs.
"Mum! is breakfast ready?" I yelled as I made my way to the kitchen. I ran my finger through my hair, pushing it back.
"Yep!" she said a little too excitedly. She brought my breakfast to the table. Mum brought her head up to look at me and smiled. "I like this look, you seem more comfortable" she beamed. I smiled at her and pulled up a chair to sit.
I looked at the bacon and eggs ravenously. This is what I call breakfast. I am definitely going to become chubby after this. My mum only has to the time to make breakfast. She is at work during lunch and it is too late when she arrives home to make dinner, so she usually buys takeout. I stuffed my mouth with bacon and eggs. "mmm" I said in between bites. I closed my eyes, this feels like heaven. I heard my mum chuckle and bring her breakfast to the table. I watched her as she pulled her soft dark brown hair into a lose ponytail. I always saw my mother as my role model. She is such a beautiful person.
"Thank you mum" I said, meaning more than she thought. She smiled sweetly.
"No problem, honey" she said. She checked the clock behind me and sighed. " I guess I will eat this after I drop you off, eat up so we can go" mum said as she left into the kitchen.
I stuffed the rest of my breakfast into my mouth and brought my plate into the kitchen.
