I took a long breath and breathed in the delicious scent of the pizza lying in front of me. "Are you going to eat it or breathe it in?" Mia asked taking me out of my trance. I gave a dry sarcastic laugh and took a huge bite. Pizza is the love of my life.
We were currently in the food court after an hour of shopping (mostly taken up by me sulking from hunger). So I was a happy girl. "Okay, so tell me. What went down with Sarah?" she asked putting her arms on the table and leaned forward with curiosity. I gave a light smile and got ready to do 'Story Time With Ava'.
"Once upon a time in a faraway bathroom there lived a grouchy blue dressed girl named....Sarah" I said her name with emphasis. Mia gave me a toothy grin.
I pushed the annoying strands of hair behind my ear and continued. "An innocent girl went inside with the only intention of...well letting out her bladder, I mean it is a bathroom SARAH," I said grimly. She nodded wholeheartedly with agreement. "So I went-I mean AVA went in and saw Sarah but decided to ignore her presence for the sake of everyone. However, Sarah obviously did not appreciate being ignored so she decided to speak to Ava regarding Ava's private life. Out of the blue, she asked her "Are you dating him?" She hadn't given any indication of whom she was speaking of. But Ava had figured she was talking about Nicholas since she had seen the two of them earlier during the day....she looked jealous? Must have been, I guess...not that she has anything to be jealous of" I said rolling my eyes.
Mia gave me a knowing look. "Hypothetically speaking, I would be jealous too girl". I lightly shook my head at her ignoring the weird feeling in the pit of my stomach. Someone is jealous of me? Nah-uh
"Okay, continuing from where I left off...where was I? umm okay we were speaking of jealous Sarah. Oh, I remember. Okay, so Ava replied with an open answer saying "I am not dating anyone". Sarah didn't seem pleased with that answer for some unknown reason. Under her breath, she muttered something under the terms of "You're obvious". Ava immediately had interpreted what she said as something offensive. Ava asked her what she meant. Sarah told Ava that she is obviously into Nicholas as she was apparently all of him and acting needy" I said. I couldn't help but sound a tad bit..annoyed to put it lightly. Mia let out air and brought her eyes up to look at the ceiling. I rested my chin on my palm and looked around. As I looked around Mia started talking.
"Look, what she said is not true okay? You are not anything she described you as!" She said strongly. I looked back at her and gave a sly smirk.
"I may have thrown everything she said back at her...." I said. Her eyes widened with glee.
"Noooo!" she said nearly squealing. I nodded my head with a wide smile. "I am so proud of you! How did she react?"
I gave a disappointed look. "I sort of went into one of the stalls because I was busting. I didn't get a proper look at her face. Then when I came out, herself and her makeup were gone" I said shrugging. Something or rather someone walked past me from afar, who reeked of familiarity. I immediately turned my head and Mia followed my gaze. Nicholas and Jack were laughing at something and walking through the store like they owned the place. Well, I knew they weren't doing it intentionally, it's just in their blood. They're meant to stand out.
"Oh look, what I coincidence! Come on, let's talk to them" she said eagerly, grabbing my hand in the process. I groaned. Why do I need to speak to Nicholas? Are we even friends? I don't know...all I do know is that I'll embarrass myself in front of him. Why does she even seem so eager to go? Then it hits me.
"So you want to speak to Jack that badly?" I whispered. She blushed and quickly looked away coyly.
"No," she said dropping my hand. I didn't believe her and she knew it. I think that's why she didn't try and persuade me some more. "It'll be fun come on babe, don't be like that," she said hitting my cheek softly when I starting pouting. I slumped my head on the table and started groaning.
