Later in the night after Declan dropped her off at her house with a promise of getting back at her at a later date, Aurora sat on the small study desk in her room going through the drawings of new cloth designs on her sketch book while thinking about what to do with her life now that she had finished college.

She's from the Rosette family and a job should be the least of her problems because her family is part of the richest families in City x but her case has not always been normal. Living with a family of three; an obnoxious mother who hates her, a younger sister who's dumb enough to follow the footsteps of her parents and hate her too and a nonchalant father who did not just care about her.

Growing up, she'd only been close to get grandmother from her father's side. Her granny, Romina Rosette who was the second wife of Clark Rosette. She'd heard from the maids in the mansion that her parents were desperate for a baby boy during her mother's pregnancy so they didn't bother to do a scan to know the gender of the baby since it's like a norm for the Rosettes, the first child must be a male and that's how it's been since forever. Her parents were pretty disappointed when they found out that the child's a girl coupled with the fact that the baby's eyes were two different colours and she has a strange combination of white hair with black roots.

They knew she got those features from her granny so they disliked her more for it. Aurora has always been a stubborn girl who'd say anything about anyone who deserves criticizing, not following her mother's rules and staying with her grandmother most of the time instead of being at her father's mansion giving them yet another reason to dislike her. Madam Romina never really accepted or liked her son's wife. She'd always knew Lydia's money-hungry and stupid, but her son still got married to her despite all of her protests. Her son, Carlos pushes her out of his life. She's always been close to her son but since he started experiencing bullying from the children of her husband and the maids working in their main mansion because he was the son of a mistress, he pushed himself to be the best of his father's children so he can inherit the family business. Carlos hated when people talk about his position because the socialites like to gossip and he hated his mother for putting him in that position. Now, Romina thought her son's standoffish attitude towards her would change as he grows older and becomes more mature but she was wrong, he didn't change his attitude towards her. He only let her access to his children and she got close with Aurora than Mirabel her younger sister because that girl took after her mother's sly ways, the little miss perfect mommy's girl.

Now Aurora understood that they disliked her because they expected a son but why did her parents not dislike her younger sister too afterall she's also a girl. It just doesn't make sense to her Aurora thought as she poured the pineapple juice from the jug inside a glass cup. The only reason her father allowed her to attend the same school as the other rich socialites was because of his good family man image he was perfecting and showing to the outsiders but now that she's done with college, her parents could care less about if she got a job or not. She couldn't be more grateful to her granny who took her to miss Vee's place when she clocked eighteen to learn the ropes of clothes designing.

Rory already had plans of building her own fashion studio where she can design her stuff and the money her granny left her before she travelled would do just fine. Her grandmother and her grandfather were currently touring different countries and vacating. They planned to recreate all their memories while they were still young. Aurora wanted them to enjoy their time on vacation so she decided she wouldn't disturb them with her problems and only call to check on them once a while.
'I miss you granny, come and take me with you this place has not been fair to me' she sighed and looked up at her ceiling while she packed her hair into a messy bun so she can focus on what she's doing when she heard footsteps, they were faint like the person was being stealthy but she heard them anyways over the silence of the night.

She thought of who to call but she recalled  lea was out of the city and she has no one else. Wow she is really doomed tonight. Aurora left her room while turning off the lights to make it look like she's not home while her feet padded softly to her kitchen to grab a knife, she moved to the entrance and stood behind the door and closed her eyes shut while she pointed the knife to her front.

"That's not how you hold a knife for self defence now unless you want to stab your self" Aurora snapped her eyes open at the voice she heard only to meet the light on in her kitchen and guys that looked rugged with weapons in their hand. She began shivering and looked at the knife at her hand and realized she can't defeat all the guys with her basic knowledge of self defence so she planned to outrun them.

She threw the knife to the guy closest to her front door and took to her heels only to feel her hair being pulled before a guy came to grab her neck hit her in the face and all she met with was the face of angry men before she became unconscious.
