Chen corporations
A woman walked into the company with her head held high. She was dressed in red suit pants, red bag, red heels and to top it all, red lipstick. All of the employees stopped to greet their CEO's mother, Maria Chen.
Maria had been married to her husband, George Lee Chen since she was twenty years old and she had her first child at the age of twenty-three. She was brought up in a rich family and met her husband at a business meeting. She knew nothing about running a company or about business strategies and made up her mind to learn the basis of business by following her husband to business meetings and everywhere he goes so she can be seen as a diligent wife. This made her to be apart from her children for quite some time so she'd leave them with nannies and the rare times she was at home, she made sure to raise her children the same way she was raised, teaching them all the ways of the socialites. She's a good mother to her children and she bonded well with her daughter than her son. Her son has always been a reserved boy when he was young and she thought it was because he was a boy and thought that he couldn't relate well with his mother on certain matters which caused him to pull away when he needed his space.
As he grew up, he became distant and it didn't sit well with her so she looked for ways to be active in her son's life. She saw the perfect opportunity when he was of age to get married, she didn't want her son to get with the wrong girl because she was sure he has absolutely no experience in dating. He maybe a grown man but he would forever be her little boy in her eyes which led to her current action.
With each click of her heels, all heads turn to look at the the glorious woman. Now at forty-eight, the envy of other women, she looks no less than twenty-eight with the way she carries herself. She was ushered in by the Secretary as she took strides towards the elevator meant for the CEO. she was aware of the looks from the people and was basking in the attention until a voice spoke
"I'm sorry madam, but that elevator is for the CEO only"
She stopped in her tracks to look at the owner of the voice before saying with pride "what do you mean? I'm the CEO's mother"
"I'm well aware of that ma'am but if you'd please, I'll lead you towards the other elevator available for everybody" a departmental manager said as he gestured his hands towards the other elevator used by the employees
"Such insolence! I'm here with a visitor who's going to be your CEO's wife in a few months"
This statement made the manager move his gaze from the CEO's mother to the lady standing beside her. The lady in a short black dress that probably cost five times his salary, she was every girl's envy. Everyone knew Leonie Corins, the only daughter of a rich high class family. Apparently, she has no job other than going to tea parties hosted by her fellow rich ladies. The ideal woman who knows how to be a doll who will follow her husband to the business parties and make connections with prominent people for her husband's sake, spend money and tend to her husband's needs after a hectic day at work. She has all the upbringing of an elegant woman.
She's simply perfect, in Maria's eyes
"Mother, calm down. You know we don't come here often so they probably don't know how important you are. They're all fools who'll later get sacked. Don't get worked up" Leonie scorned
The first thing Marcus saw when he got out of the elevator was the boss' mother and the supposed wife. He sighed at the scene as he walked towards them. He asked
"What's going on here?" He faced the departmental manager who looked Petrified after the women had threatened to blacklist him from the business industry
"Mr Marcus, thank goodness you're here. This women refused to leave the private elevator's entrance after I told them it's for the boss only" he explained tiredly.
