They were both sitting on the couch watching a movie after they'd eaten the breakfast that Aurora cooked. Aurora looked confused and wondered what was going on with Jason since she told him during breakfast that she'd leave soon because of her graduation ceremony and Jason kept frowning and staring blankly at the television. She doubted he's actually watching the movie. She then looked at the phone in her hand and decided to call her best friend
"Did this phone have a registered sim card? I want to call lea. She'd be so worried" Aurora asked as she pressed her friends number in the phone to save it.
"Yea" Jason replied
"Ohhkay...What's wrong with you? Are you okay?" She asked worriedly. Jason looked up after hearing her concern and felt bad. He didn't mean to look angry. It's just that when he heard she'd be leaving soon, he felt angry and annoyed but he can't do anything about it, so he can only mope
"I'm good. It's nothing" he replied scrolling through his phone
"Okay, if you say so" Aurora said as she dialed her friend's number while praying internally that she won't go all mad on her. She was surprised as the call as the call went through and Lea picked it up. She wasn't expecting her to pick the call, lea doesn't take unknown numbers
"Who's this" lea asked over the phone
"Hey Lea" Aurora said nervously
"Rory! is that you?" Lea exclaimed
"Yes, it's me. How are you"
"Aurora Hendrix Rosette!! Have you lost your freaking mind? What is wrong with you? You told me you'd call me that night I left but You didn't and I haven't heard from you. I was very worried" lea yelled
"Oh, the full name. Wow, you are really mad" Aurora laughed nervously
"It's not funny. I was damn worried. My mind kept conjuring different bad thoughts. I even thought your parents took you and kept you in their house and I told Cameron to help me look for you"
"I'm sorry. A lot happened and I just needed a break from it all"
"Where are you? You're not at your house. I already went there"
"I'm somewhere ehn private"
"Private?"
"Uhm, it's a private residence"
"Oh, you know what, stay there. I'm coming. I'll tell Cameron to track your location and we'll be there soon, okay?"
"Oh, i don't think Jason will want that"
"Who's Jason? Oh my God, did you find yourself a boyfriend? Is that why you've been occupied this past days and you refused to call me? I have no problem if you got yourself a man but don't you think it's too soon to be living with him?"
"No, he's not my boyfriend. He helped.... It's complicated" Aurora sighed
"Well, tell Mr Jason that well be there soon, bye"
"Lea, i don't think you should... Lea, lea" Aurora sighed as she realized lea cut the call. She nervously glanced at Jason to see his expression. She knew he heard all of the conversation and she didn't know how he'd feel having people breach his home. More importantly, she didn't know if his Boss would be mad that he allowed people in his private residence.
"She said she's coming to pick me up. Are you mad? I'm sorry if that'd be a bother. Lea can be impulsive sometimes but she means well. Are you gonna get sacked. Are you comfortable around people?"
"Let her come, it's no problem" Jason replied
"Are you sure it's not a problem" she asked again as his expression was blank so she can't know what he was thinking
"I already told you. It's no problem and even if it is, she's on her way already. Can you just tell her not to come again? No" he replied grumpily
"Okay, I'll go get ready" Aurora said as she went upstairs to the room she's staying in happy that she'd see her best friend but sad that she'd be leaving this peaceful atmosphere....or so she thought.
Aurora came down after an hour wearing a baggy jeans and a black halter crop top, her hair was packed up as always and she was looking excited. She walked to the living room but she didn't see Jason there so she went to his study and as expected, there he was sitting on the chair and sipping wine, making a call. Now that she thought about it, Aurora think he looked like those cool men in movies that are rich, cool and hot but the sad truth is that he's not as rich as them. Aurora then pictured him as the assistant of the rich men and she burst out laughing at that thought of him as an assistant, this huge looking man.
Jason was working in his study when he got a call from Marcus who was filling him in on work stuffs. He turned his head to the door and he saw Aurora looking at him with a smile then a frown before she later burst out laughing showing all teeth. He couldn't help but wonder if she'd gone crazy
"You okay?"
Aurora looked up when she heard his question and the concern in his voice then she thought of how she'd been laughing like a crazy woman without seeing anything funny. Why did she have to always embarrass herself in front of handsome men. She scratched her neck before answering
"I'm fine..uhh I just thought of something funny, do you want to know?"
"I'd rather not know what weird thought is going through that head of yours" Jason replied turning back to his laptop. Aurora walked in before asking
"Are you working?"
"No, I'm playing. Wanna join?" Jason said sarcasm dripping in his tone
"Sarcastic much? Also,Why do they make you work so much? you stay up late working after you arrive late from work. Who'd take care of you so you wouldn't work yourself to death" Aurora said worriedly
"I'll be fine, i have Marcus to help me out"
"Then let Marcus do the work, you deserve a break. You know that if you die, another person would take your position right?" Aurora said with concern
"Is someone worried about me? If you're that worried, why can't you stay and take care of me so I won't die" Jason teased
"Of course I'm worried, even though you can be mean and sarcastic sometimes, you're still the man who helped me when I was kidnapped, who fed me, took care of me, got me clothes and have been nothing but good to me throughout my stay here. I'll forever be grateful to you and just so you know,....I'll miss you" Aurora said looking down. Jason looked at her and put a hand under her chin to raise her head up to see that she was looking sad
"Hey..... you'll be fine okay?. Also, I'll keep in touch" Jason said softly
"Will you come for my graduation ceremony at the university?" Aurora asked hopefully
"I'll try to come....if I'm less busy" Jason said with a smirk
"You must come, I'll tell Marcus to free your schedule that day" Aurora said smiling at him before asking. Jason nodded while smiling and got up before leading her out of the study to the living room. Aurora looked at him before throwing her hands around him and hugging him. Jason was shocked at the sudden attack from her but he smiled nonetheless before hugging her back wrapping one hand around her waist and using the other to pat her head. Aurora stepped back after a while before saying
"I'm sorry if that made you uncomfortable, it's just that...I'm emotional right now and I need a hug"
Jason smiled before pulling her in for another hug. They were still in that position when the door opened and two familiar faces- Azalea and Cameron came into view. Cameron looked at Jason with shock before saying "Alex!!!". Aurora Pulled from the hug and smiled at her best friend but still maintained a confused look at the name Lea's boyfriend called jason.
