Aurora looked at her best friend, Azalea stuffing her face and snorted "can't you be mindful of how you eat? A whole young miss of the Carmans eating like a starved orphan" she made a move of collecting the remaining bar of chocolates in her hand and putting them in her bag.
"Hey, what was that for? Can't a girl eat in peace after a loong day of boring ass lectures" azalea poured while reaching her hand inside her friend's bag
"Well if a girl wants to eat after a stressful day, she would eat healthy foods and not a dozen of chocolate bars" Lea, I already said you should come to mine and I'll cook something nice for us" Azalea smiled showing her teeth that are now Brownish from eating multiple chocolate bars. Aurora can't help but smile at the way her best friend acts like a child rather that the adult she is whenever Aurora said she'd cook for the both of them.
"Great, can't wait to have a taste of your home cooked meals"
"Yea, yea, you like them that much?"
"Correction girl, i loove them. I mean, it's different eating at home but your cooking gives this homely feeling. You know that feeling of eating at a grandma's house when you haven't seen her for long"
"Wow, I'm flattered. The young missus compliment my foods despite having one of the best chefs around at disposal" Aurora grins cheekily
"Damn right you should be flattered, it's me after all" Lea flips her shoulder length hair to the back causing Aurora to lightly slap her shoulder while stifling a laugh. They both got to the parking lot of the university while lea pressed the button on her car key and made her way to the driver's seat of a pink convertible. "We are stopping by the mall, i need to get some stuffs for the food tonight and also stock my fridge" Aurora said after putting on her seat belt.
"Okay then, let's get ice cream too" lea said while starting the car and playing 'all the ways' by Megan trainor and zooming off leaving the people in the parking lot with their mouth agape looking at the speeding car of Azelea that costs a fortune.
Aurora looked at her friend who was singing along to the song and smiled. They had been friends since they were at the age of seven. Even with different personalities, Aurora being the mature one with the kind heart and azalea being the petty one, they get along well and they both thought that they were meant to be friends because their names are almost similar. Aurora smiled at the fond memories.
They were both from well off families that are ranked in the upper class society of City x. They met at a school where almost all the children from the upper class attends and they had been friends ever since lea refused to eat her packed lunch and insisted on eating with Aurora because her food smells nice and they started talking even till now that they are graduating university soon.
"...take me out dancing, don't forget romancing. It's been a while since I've been your princess, tell..." Lea sang along while nudging Aurora to sing along "come on rory, sing with me"
Both friends sang to the song before arriving at the mall and parking the car. They both got out and made their way to grab a trolley "rory, I'll be travelling out for a while and yes before you ask, it'll be after my last paper"
"Where will you be travelling to and why do you need to travel. I thought you said your manager said you guys will do the shoot here" rory asked while pushing the cart and throwing in food stuffs
"Nah girl, It's actually not about the shoot. Cameron told me he'd arrive soon but I want to do a counter surprise for him" lea smirked at the thought of catching her boyfriend unaware while he's on a business trip
" so, you'll go and meet him in Spain without his knowledge? And what if you get to Spain just to find out he departed to come see you here, now won't that be so funny" rory laughed while turning to face her friend
"Dont worry, I've got it all figured out and I just miss him. It's been over two weeks since I have seen him"
"Okay darling, you do you alright"
"Hmm" lea lets out a little hmm while packing condensed milk into the cart.
Azalea's boyfriend is Cameron Donovan, the president of Donovan enterprise. The company deals with interior design and have partnered with other companies having shares in them making it one of the best interior design companies in city x. He's the only son of his parents and he'd soon take over the company. Like any typical rich socialites, Cameron's parents proposed a marriage deal with lea's parents and to be able to partner up on the future, they sealed the deal and unlike other arranged marriages, both of them do not hate each other, surprisingly. rather, they got close and agreed to start dating before marriage since azalea is still in her last year of university and since then, their relationship worked out really well and rory was happy for her friend.
By the time the girls got to rory's house, it was already late and they were tired so they just had cereal and the remaining chocolate bars before they slept off in aurora's room.
