Lea woke up the next day to a text from her boyfriend. She unlocked her phone and smiled as she read the message
Cameron💜: good morning love, how's my baby girl doing? I have a meeting early this morning, it'll last a while and I might not be able to call you so I just decided to drop a message. Make sure to eat and have fun with your friend. My regards to her. I miss you but I also know you have to be with your friend so I'll manage to not die while you're not with me. I love you
Wait, Did I mention that I miss you??.
By the time she finished reading the message, lea was full on grinning and smiling so she decided to send him a message, disregarding the fact that he might still be in the meeting
Cameron who was in the middle of a meeting saw his phone beep and was about to turn it off but when her saw that it's his baby that sent him a message, he grinned and checked the message, grateful that there's something to take his mind away from this boring meeting
Lea: hey babe, good morning. just woke up now. Decided to let you know. I'm sorry if I'm disrupting anything.
Lea checked the other side of the bed to see that Aurora's not present with her. She stood up to go look for her and heard a beep from her phone. She sat down and saw that it's a message from Cameron
Cameron: morning? What country are you in? Darling, we're in the afternoon.
Lea's smile dropped as she saw the message. She checked the time and saw that it's after two in the afternoon. She gasped, Did she really sleep that long. She replied her boyfriend
Lea: I didn't even bother to check the time. I thought we were still in the morning
Cameron: it's okay. Did you guys slept that late to wake up by this time? Not that I'm complaining but if you sleep towards the afternoon, you'd probably end up with a headache or something. How are you feeling?
Cameron asked feeling worried because it's the afternoon already and the weather is pretty hot. Lea smiled and pictured Cameron's worried face before typing back a message
Lea: We slept late but in my defence, we were doing something productive throughout the night and not just watching movies or something. Besides, I'm not having an headache or anything like that
Cameron smiled at Lea's excuse which made the staffs present at the meeting wonder whatever happened to their boss that he was smiling at his phone. Was he even listening to the pitch? This rich people and their weird ways. Cameron didn't even care to raise his head up from the table and continued to message his girlfriend
Cameron: ok madam, whatever you say. Just make sure to eat okay?
Lea smiled before typing a reply
Lea: okay, I'm with one of the best chefs I know, i can't go hungry (winkey face). Wait, are you even paying attention to the meeting or are you done with it
Cameron came back to the planet earth from the wonderland he was with his lady before raising his head up to look around him, he replied lea
Cameron: no, I'm still there but the meeting is boring. I'd rather chat with you than to listen to boring pitches from boring people
Lea: as much as I'm flattered, those boring pitches bring you money so pay attention to them. We'll talk later when you're done with the meeting. Don't bother replying to this message. I love you. Ttyl
Cameron scowled at Lea's reply and thought 'those pitches don't bring me money, i make my money myself' but he replied with an I love you before dropping his phone and telling the guy who's explaining a design he has in mind for an interior deco to stop before he stood up and took charge of the meeting. He wants to get this over with quickly and get back to his girl. His boss mode is on.
After lea replied Cameron, she got out of the room to look for Aurora and she wasn't surprised whe she saw Aurora in her mini studio in the house looking intently at the pieces of fabrics on the broad table in front of her.
"Hey Rory, well done"
"The sleeping beauty finally woke up huh?" Aurora replied with a smile
"Oh yes, my handsome prince charming woke me up with a text message instead of a kiss but it worked anyways" lea said with a graceful look while made Rory start laughing
"Of course ma'am"
"I almost didn't know it was already in the afternoon. Why didn't you wake me up?"
"I felt bad. I was the one who kept you up last night and I didn't want you to have eye bags by morning. It'd ruin your pretty model face. What I didn't know was that this model sleeps like a hibernating bear" Aurora said resisting the urge to laugh
"Oh haha, funny. Wait until this model's boyfriend hears you calling his girl a bear"
"Hnmm, i think he'd agree with me though. Don't you think"
"Don't flatter yourself" lea said with a laugh before taking a seat across aurora "You could have woke me up you know? You wouldn't have to do everything by yourself"
"I know, i just don't want to stress you"
"Awwn, you're the best best friend ever. If that's a thing"
Aurora snickered before saying "Well, I've got a surprise for you"
"Oh, yeah?"
"Yeah. The dress is ready. I finished it early this morning"
Lea squealed at Aurora's words "Oh my God. Where's it"
"Check one of those mannequins. The one with the veil on" Aurora pointed towards the small room
Lea stood up and ran towards a small door for a room built inside the studio for keeping the finished dresses and the few mannequins Aurora has. She glanced through the rows of mannequins and when she saw the one with the veil, she took no time in yanking it off. She gasped when she saw her dress.
She screamed so much, Aurora had to cover her ears
After her little display, she ran towards Aurora and pulled her out of the chair she was sitting before throwing her in a tight hug. Aurora laughed with her before asking
"I take it that you like it, right?"
"Like it, i love this. Rory thank you so much, you're the best. I know I've said it before, but you're really the best" lea said pulling away from the hug to look at her best friend. She has no doubt Rory is gonna make a great designer
Aurora smiled wildly before replying with a 'you're welcome girl' while lea on the other hand is thinking about how Cameron is going to drop when he sees her in the dress.
