Suzy arrived earlier at Bluemedia to meet Jennie that day. Although Jennie had now assumed her new position as the head of the company, she remained the manager of her talents, and that included Suzy.
Suzy had already debuted in the industry for some time now, yet, her growth as an actress was lacking over the past years since her debut. Although she occasionally received projects from time to time, none of it was enough to boost her popularity in the industry.
She sat in silence as she pondered about Jennie's sudden decision to have her audition for a major role. This hadn't happened before, and she wasn't sure if she would be able to live up to her manager's expectations.
'Demonville' was a film that would be directed by a famous filmmaker. The film was based on a popular horror webcomic series that had been serialized for several years in the past, and it was one of Suzy's favorites to read in her free time when she was still a new recruit in Bluemedia. While she was nervous to audition for the female lead role, she knew that if she managed to get the role, it could help her boost her career and popularity.
"Miss Bae, let's go."
Jennie's voice startled Suzy and she immediately rose from her seat and followed her manager to the elevator. She nervously stood still and willed herself to calm down.
"You have to calm down and give everything you have for this audition." She heard Jennie say. "It's not every day that we can encounter such a great opportunity."
Suzy knew that her manager was right. She decided to do her best this time, so she wouldn't have any regrets later.
When they arrived at the audition venue, Jennie raised a slender brow when she saw Krystal stepping out with Taehyung next to her. The two stopped in their tracks upon seeing her. Both had different reactions on their faces.
Krystal was surprised to see her coming today, while Taehyung looked at her with complex emotions Jennie couldn't explain, not that she was bothered by what he thought of her anyway.
"Ah, CEO Kim, it's been a while." Jennie smiled at Taehyung before giving Krystal a mocking look. "How nice of you to accompany Miss Lee on her audition. For someone who runs a massive entertainment agency, you surely know how to dote on another company's newbie."
Her words provoked Krystal, but that latter could only endure it no matter how much she wanted to give Jennie a good beating.
Taehyung stiffened at her words and frowned. He chose to ignore her remarks and acknowledged Krystal instead.
"As per our agreement, this would be the last time. You better stay true to your words." He told Krystal, giving Jennie one last look before leaving on his own.
Jennie hummed and cupped her chin in one hand, wondering what Taehyung meant by his words. It made her think that her assumption about Krystal striking some kind of deal with him was on point.
Krystal felt uncomfortable being left on her own by Taehyung. She hated that he didn't even give her some face in front of Jennie.
Even Jennie's reaction when she saw them together was far from what Krystal expected to see from her. Didn't Jennie used to be head over heels for Taehyung? So how come she was acting indifferent towards him now?
What was Jennie doing here, anyway? It wasn't like she could audition for the same role that led her to stardom. It was only then did Krystal notice that Jennie had brought Suzy with her.
Annoyance filled Krystal's heart as she thought of how Jennie kept ruining her plans. She considered the possibility of Jennie being reborn, but that would be impossible, as Jennie wasn't even aware of her existence in her previous life.
