An hour later, Jennie was bombarded with congratulatory greetings from the guests of the Manoban family. She plastered her usual cordial smile as she interacted with the guests, aware that Lisa's eyes were following her. Her husband wasn't even trying to pretend as he continued to follow her with his gaze while he continued his conversation with his business associates.
"Ah, you should have seen how my father reacted when Lisa announced your marriage. He was really an idiot if he thought that Lisa would fall for a beauty trap when he's already smitten with you." Diana commented next to her. The woman was dressed in a tight fitting black dress that reached her knees tonight.
"You really like seeing your father angered to death, don't you?" Jennie arched a brow at her husband's cousin. A little amused that this woman was playing a dangerous game with her own father.
"What can I say? It's tit for tat for all the horrible things he did to me." Diana shrugged before thanking Rosé for handing her a flute of champagne. She was more at ease, now that she was in Jennie and Rosé's company. She could feel her father's glaring daggers at her earlier, but she couldn't be bothered to acknowledge his presence.
"Isn't that Niki? What is she doing here?" Rosé spotted a familiar face next to Diana's father and furrowed her brows in confusion.
"What else? She's trying to be the next Madam Manoban, but Jennie has already beaten her to it." Diana muttered, until she saw Suzy making her way towards them.
"Oh my god. Isn't that Suzy? I can't believe my luck! I'm a big fan of hers!" She fanned herself with one hand, attempting to calm herself down from being starstruck, but failed.
Suzy greeted Jennie and gave Rosé a hug, much to Diana's surprise.
"You know each other?" Diana's eyes widened as she looked at the three women in front of her. She suddenly felt like she didn't belong in Jennie's circle.
"Why are you surprised? Are you forgetting that Suzy is signed under Bluemedia?" Rosé laughed at her.
"Oh, right! Silly me." Diana laughed at herself. "Thanks, Miss Park. Actually, I almost thought that she was signed to JYP Entertainment with Krystal."
"Why would you think that?" Rosé frowned.
"Because Krystal has the same style as Suzy recently. Didn't you notice? Their makeup, their dress style as well as how they project themselves in front of the camera is almost the same. A little more and I would think it's some kind of marketing style to build their image as a team."
Suzy gave her manager a worried look. This wasn't the first time she heard this comment though. Indeed, Krystal's image in public had changed dramatically overnight and her name was always being dragged in comparison to Krystal.
"My assistant said the same thing, Jennie. What should we do?"
Rosé frowned and furrowed her brows in annoyance.
"Isn't it like Krystal riding Suzy's coat-tails and using her popularity to give herself a boost?" She commented.
"Let's talk about it later." Jennie replied, but it was obvious that she was also caught off guard with the news.
She had heard that Krystal got a new manager now from JYP, but she was aware that Krystal's manager was trying to clean up after the mess her talent had made all this while. Ever since her last encounter with Krystal, it was becoming harder for her to predict what was going on in that woman's mind.
Jennie thought that Krystal was trying to find a way to steal her identity and her body, but now, Krystal seemed to be targeting Suzy instead.
"Jennie, can I have a moment with you please? I want to introduce you to someone." Lisa suddenly appeared, taking her attention.
