The award ceremony ended without any scene or scandal. Most were thrilled as they left the venue one by one. Those who won an award invited their closest friends for a celebration and Jennie was obviously not spared from several invitations.
"Bluemedia will hold one for Miss Park for sure. Please expect an invitation from us." She said, quickly excusing herself and her husband from the growing crowd that was blocking the entrance.
Lisa held her hand and stopped her, pulling out his phone before looking around.
"What's wrong? Did something happen?" His wife asked curiously.
Jennie wondered if he was as impatient to return home as she was. She couldn't wait to see their girls and kiss their heads lovingly. She and Lisa had only been away for three hours but she was already missing them.
"This way." He said, leading his wife away from the crowd and taking one of the emergency exits of the main hall.
Jackson had just informed him via text the best route for him and Jennie to leave the venue in peace, without the need of being cornered by reporters outside. His elder brother and Suzy had already managed to escape earlier.
"Do you know where this would lead us?" Jennie asked.
However, before Lisa could answer her, their attention was caught by a commotion somewhere. The voice they just heard was familiar to their ears. The couple wondered what made Krystal this angry. She was screaming like a banshee somewhere nearby.
As they turned into the next hallway, they found Krystal yelling at Momo who looked uncomfortable. The side of her face had a red mark on it and one didn't need half a brain to know that it was Krystal who caused it.
"What? You have nothing to say now?!" Krystal yelled at Momo. "You were brave enough to seduce him in front of me and now you act like you've been wronged by me?!"
Momo rubbed her arm and turned on her side, trying to avoid confronting Krystal.
"Should we help her?" Jennie heard her husband ask, but she shook her head in response.
"There's no need. Miss Hirai can handle this herself. I have to admit that I didn't expect that she was able to corner Krystal so easily." She chuckled.
She knew how easily Krystal would get annoyed when someone kept trying to obstruct her. Jennie had no doubt that Krystal was trying to create a wedge between her lover and Momo. Kai was a Money Boss Krystal couldn't afford to lose right now.
As if on cue, Kai came in a hurry. He was startled upon seeing Krystal, but his expression hardened when he saw the red mark on Momo's face. His eyes darkened and before Krystal could hurt his first love any further, he came forward and protected Momo like a hero.
"Kai! What's the meaning of this?!" Krystal's voice came out like a shrill, hurting Jennie's ears.
However, Kai ignored her and led Momo away, who was visibly trembling from being harassed by Krystal earlier.
Obviously, Krystal went after them, wanting to confront the two. Momo kept muttering her apology while she was still in Kai's embrace. Krystal dropped her award and attacked the other woman.
Jennie gasped and covered her mouth in mocking surprise. Who would have thought that she and her husband would witness such a scene? Krystal didn't disappoint her at all. She had already expected that this would happen once Krystal crossed paths with Momo.
Between the two of them, it was obvious who Kai would choose and it would be bad for Krystal. Kai's womanizing antics started when Momo left him, and now that she was back, those suppressed feelings would eventually resurface once he saw her again. It was what Jennie wanted to take advantage of.
