Something shifted and changed between the couple, Hye Kyo was certain. She could see the sweetness between her daughter and Lisa, and was glad that the two were getting along and there weren't many changes since they got married. If anything, she noticed that her Jennie was calmer these days and wasn't as workaholic as she was before getting married.

Today, Junho and the rest of his family will come for a visit. Hye Kyo had yet to be discharged and she couldn't wait to go home as being confined in her hospital room was starting to drive her crazy.

"Jennie, have you already talked to your father?" She asked her daughter.

Jennie was busy cleaning the table they used during lunch earlier, while Lisa was in the middle of a phone call, murmuring words neither she and Hye Kyo could hear.

"Uncle Jun gave me a call when he received the result of the paternity test. He apologized to me for not being able to find me sooner." She replied to her mother's question.

"Give him a chance, Jennie. I'm sure President Lee would want to make up for the years of your separation." Hye Kyo commented while observing her reaction.

While she had done the best of her ability to become a mother to Jennie, she knew that her daughter was lacking a father figure in her life, given how stale her relationship was with Dong Wook when she was younger.

Jennie only smiled, not making any comment over her mother's suggestion. If Hye Kyo had already known the identity of her birth father a long time ago, then she wouldn't be surprised if her mother was already aware of Irene's identity.

As for why her mother hadn't mentioned the actress yet, Jennie was giving her the benefit of the doubt and wouldn't force her to disclose it.

When the Lee family arrived, it was just on time as Lisa finished his phone call. Lucas rushed to Jennie and threw his hands around her.

"Sister Jen! You really are my big sister!" He gave Jennie a boyish grin.

Even at the age of thirteen, Lucas had yet to shed his childlike demeanor. Jennie hoped that her younger brother wouldn't change too much and wouldn't learn bad habits from others.

"Little Lucas, be careful not to touch my hand. I haven't washed it yet." She reminded him.

"Lucas, you shouldn't tackle your sister like that," came Yoona's words. "I'm sorry, Jennie. He's been excited to come here and see you."

"It's alright, Aunty. I don't mind it." Jennie politely responded to her father's wife before giving her father a curt nod in a greeting.

Lucas released his sister, but remained standing next to her. He then grinned when he saw that Lisa  was also with her.

"Little Brother, won't you join me to fetch some cold drinks while your sister washes her hands? I also need to pick up some desserts for her." Lisa suggested, knowing that Hye Kyo wanted a word with Jun Ho and Yoona in private.

"But…" Lucas hesitated and glanced at his sister. He just arrived to see her and he wasn't willing to part from her so soon.

Sensing his hesitation, Jennie nudged his side and nodded.

"Go. I won't be going anywhere. Just make sure that your big brother gets me a chocolate mousse cake and not the carrot cake he bought me last time."

"Okay! I'll make sure he'll get the right one!"

A smile bloomed on Lucas's face and he nodded in agreement. He had already spent a lot of time with Jennie and Rosé in the past and both women doted on him like his own big sisters. As for Lisa, his new brother-in-law, he rarely spent time with him in the past and he would always be in his sister's company.
