The ball was in Niki's court now. Jennie omitted the part that she and Lisa were already married because she didn't want to be accused of bullying her by making her cry.

Still, she was already kind enough to make it clear to the other woman that Lisa was already off limits. She could only hope that Niki was smart enough not to oppose her this time.

Niki pondered silently for a long time. She was aware of Jennie's reputation and knew that between them, Lisa was inclined to believe whatever Jennie would tell him. She excused herself, leaving Jennie on her own.

No one dared to bother her after Niki left, and Jennie decided to scroll through some entertainment news and the latest gossip on her phone while waiting for her husband's return. The trend in the entertainment industry changed rapidly and those who cannot keep up with it would eventually lose their shine and be replaced with the new ones.

Currently, JYP Entertainment had the largest film production in the country, and this was why Jennie couldn't easily shrug off President Park possible collaboration with Bluemedia.

After them, the Kim family's Golden Star Entertainment had produced the most popular stars in the next three years. Jennie wanted to change that and snatch Taehyung's thunder before he could get a hand on those celebrities.

It could be said that right now, those companies controlled the largest market share of the entertainment circle and Bluemedia was still falling behind. Jennie knew this and while Soo Yang was steadily keeping up with her "Queen" status, Suzy would need a few more years before she could reach that level.

From the memory of her previous life, after JYP Entertainment helped Krystal become popular, she didn't sign for a renewal of her contract with them and moved to Golden Star instead.

In just two years, Golden Star would grow rapidly and would eventually catch up with JYP Entertainment. This was made possible by her, of course. Because she had foolishly handed over her mother's company to Taehyung for him to manage, only to be swallowed whole by Golden Star.

The memory left bitterness in Jennie's mouth. In this life, she would make sure that neither Taehyung nor Krystal would be able to get what they wanted. She would protect Bluemedia and her mother's legacy with all of her might, regardless of how hard it would be.

However, before she could act on it, she needed to take care of her mother first. She cannot just focus her attention at work, as it would be useless if she would lose her mother for the second time.

She sighed and locked the screen of her phone, only to find out that she was earning a lot of stares from Lisa's other female relatives. Most of them were already past their forties, and she couldn't help but notice that there weren't many from the younger generations in the Manoban family.

"You are Jennie Lee, right? You are quite famous, aren't you?"

A woman around her late twenties came and greeted Jennie. Unlike the other madams here, she looked friendly, and her eyes didn't have any disdain and scrutiny others were throwing her way.

"Oh, my bad. I haven't introduced myself, have I?" She smiled at Jennie and extended a hand. "I'm Diana Manoban. I'm a fan of yours."

Jennie's brows shot up in surprise. This was unexpected to hear from a relative of her husband. Out of courtesy, she accepted Diana's hand and gave it a firm shake.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Manoban." She replied.

"Do you mind if I join you here? It seems to me that I'm not the only one unwanted here." Diana replied and sat next to Jennie even before the latter could respond to her question.
