Lisa decided to leave his wife with Rosé, giving the two women some time to catch up with each other. He didn't want to eavesdrop on their conversation nor was he interested to know the real score between Rosé and Jisoo. It was enough for him to know that Jisoo was with her.

As he socialized with the other attendees, Lisa unexpectedly ran to a person neither he nor Jennie were looking forward to seeing again. He had come to the balcony that oversaw the gardens to free himself from the unnecessary talks with the other guests. Imagine his surprise when he found Taehyung smoking on the balcony.

Taehyung's sudden change had bothered him, though he wouldn't admit it to his wife. What were the odds that Taehyung was also reborn like him and Jennie? Wouldn't this make their lives complicated?

Taehyung also stopped in his tracks and returned Lisa's cold gaze with the same intensity. The two men regarded each other with scrutiny.

Lisa decided to ignore Taehyung and walked past him. However, Taehyung didn't like the way the younger man looked down on him. No matter which lifetime he was in, Lisa had this haughty and arrogant expression on his face, as if he was superior to him.

"I wonder how long you will be able to remain calm. Once Jennie returns to me, do you think she will still keep someone like you in her life?"

Lisa paused and looked at Taehyung darkly over his shoulder.

"Between the two of us, you are the one who's a complete stranger in Jennie's life. I hate to be the bearer of bad news for you, CEO Kim, but Jennie and I are already married. Whatever you are trying to pull now means nothing to me or to Jennie."

Taehyung glared at him fiercely, not believing a single word Lisa had just said. He wanted to believe that the young man was only trying to get on his nerves by claiming such absurdity. It had always been a one-sided romance between Jennie and Lisa, and he didn't believe that Jennie would be reckless and marry so suddenly.

"You're lying." He sneered at Lisa.

"Am I now?" The younger man scoffed arrogantly, daring Taehyung to prove his accusation. "Do I need to show you our marriage certificate before you leave Jennie alone?"

"You're quite suspicious to be honest, CEO Kim." Lisa continued. "Weren't you the one who always treated Jennie as if she wasn't worthy of your attention? Now you are the one who is chasing after her, despite her telling you to back off. So CEO Kim, between the two of us, I think that you are the one who's lying to Jennie."

Taehyung stiffened at Lisa's accusation. As expected, a person like Lisa wouldn't fail to notice the sudden change in his demeanor, but it couldn't be helped at all. He cannot remain the same person as he was before his rebirth.

The Taehyung from before was the one who disliked Jennie, not him. He realized too late that he'd been a fool, pushing all the blame on her when she did nothing but to prove that she was worthy of his love.

One reason he had pushed her away was because his pride wouldn't allow him to admit that he was envious of her. He didn't like her domineering ways and that Jennie could hold her head up proudly regardless of what people thought of her. Unlike him, he needed to work hard to please his family and meet their expectations.

He stared at Lisa, noticing that his expression, down to how he presented himself, was the same as Lisa, the tyrant who killed him in his previous life. Taehyung couldn't be mistaken.

He chuckled bemusedly, making Lisa arched a slender brow towards him.

"Then don't you think that we're the same, Mr. Manoban?" Taehyung said with mockery. "You aren't the Lisa that Jennie knew."
