Lisa stared at the view, letting the warm sea air ruffle his thick black hair. He had requested this rare trip with his wife under short notice and he was glad that Jennie managed to rearrange her schedule to make time. In their previous life, the last thing Jennie told him was that she wished to see the sunset on the beach once again, but he'd never got the chance to fulfill that wish.

He was supposed to be here with Jackson to see the resorts themselves, so he took the opportunity to allow his wife and Rosé to take a break from their busy schedules. With Hye Kyo's doctors' approval, his mother-in-law had also decided to come with them today.

It had been a long time since Lisa last spent a vacation with them, as he was only ten years old during the last one they had. He also didn't doubt that Jennie would like the idea of having one as she'd been too focused on her work and making sure to beat Taehyung's Golden Star in every possible way.

Right now, Jennie and Rosé must be checking out the beach while he awaited Jackson and the Kim siblings' arrival. They should arrive any minute now. Meanwhile, Hye Kyo chose to remain in her suite, claiming that the beautiful scenery from her terrace was enough for her to enjoy.

Lisa checked his phone to make sure there weren't any missed calls from his wife, and there were really none. Well, it wasn't like Jennie would have time to worry about anything for the meantime as he had practically taken their family away from the busy city.

A lithe, busty woman had slipped him a napkin earlier, with her phone number scribbled on it, which he'd tossed in the trashbin as soon as he passed one. He didn't want Jennie to think that he was seeing another woman as soon as she turned her back on him.

The island resort was surprisingly bigger than what he expected. It had pristine beaches. The water sparkled under the sunlight as it overlapped the sand. With the amount he spent purchasing the place, Lisa was confident that he was able to make it a lucrative business in no time.

Meanwhile, Jennie rested a hand on her hips. The afternoon air here was a bit warmer. It was still relatively cool and refreshing in her opinion, compared to Qiying City that had been plagued with sharp, cold winds. The weather was starting to get colder in the north and she was worried that it would affect her mother's recovery from her recent surgeries.

When her husband asked her to join him on this short trip, she hesitated, but once she found out where they were going to the east, she couldn't help but ask him to allow her mother and Rosé to join.

"My gosh, Jennie. How long has it been since we visited the beach together?" Rosé asked her, while collecting beautiful seashells along their way. "Thankfully, my employer is kind enough to give me the whole weekend to myself!"

Jennie chuckled and looked at the far horizon. It was far from the high-rise buildings she always saw whenever she went to work.

"We are too busy making money and to make ends meet that we didn't have time to enjoy what life could give us." She commented, pleased that somehow she was able to see a glint of happiness in Rosé's eyes that she hadn't seen for the past two years.

If only she could go to that Eun Woo and give him a good beating for making her Rosé cry, but she wouldn't. It wasn't her place to poke her nose in Rosé's private affairs and didn't want to ruin her best friend's chance, in case Rosé was able to meet Jisoo again, which she eventually did.

Technically, it seemed like nothing had yet to happen between the two as there was no hint of romance when Rosé spoke of him, but Jennie wanted to believe that it would only take some time before things shifted between the two.

"Well, I guess you are right. I've given a good thought on what you told me before and you were right, Jennie. I've been pushing myself to my limit and haven't done anything to invigorate myself." Rosé admitted with a weak laugh.
