emery
finals week went by like a breeze. i studied for months in advance just so i garenteed my total average to be above a ninety five. i need it to be above a ninety five, i've been manifesting it for so long, it's got to happen.
last day of school, the day every senior was awaiting and dreading at the same time. it's the end of an era and the start of another.
that's part of the reason principle andrew decided to make it a free day for us only. there are no classes, no tests, nothing. just us saying goodbye to this place one last time, saying goodbye to our teachers, the halls, clear out our lockers, and other stupid things we might want to do.
some students decided to leave and never come back but show up for graduation. if i graduated a year ago i would have been one of those people. now that seems like a stupid idea, this is the last time my friends and i are going to be here together as students, as seniors. i wouldn't let this opportunity go in a million years now.
"happy sad last day!" drew approached jen and i.
"happy sad last day." i pouted and hugged her, we kept our hands around each other, hers around my shoulders, mine around her waist, my head resting on her shoulder. "i don't know if i should be happy or sad."
"i don't know how you're confused with your feelings, i'm happy! i'm done with this hell hole and now i have you guys and it's not like you're going to disappear from my life." jen said.
"oh come on there is no way you're not just a little bit sad." drew replied, leaning her head on mine.
"maybe a little, but i'm more of glad i'm done." jen shrugged.
"what's going on here?" billie chuckled at drew and i, approaching us from behind jen.
"can time just freeze on this day, so i can just live it a million times, time and time again?" i groaned. "everything is good now, i don't want anything to change."
"i do." jen said.
"shut up." i glared at her.
"well jacob and dessa bought cartoons full of snow and string spray, principle andrews said we could use them in the gym later on." billie said.
"took some convincing though." dessa joined us, her boyfriend walking right behind her.
"we have to use them at the end of the day, the snow spray is going mess up our hairs and makeup." drew said, lifting her head off mine and i did the same with her shoulder.
billie's eyes locked on mine, i think both our minds went to the same night. her lips curved upwards, forming a smirk. flashbacks of her tugging and pulling my hair refused to stop flooding back. my cheeks felt hot, i'm sure they're bright red.
"emery are you hot? you're checks are flushed, maybe you should take off you sweater." billie teased.
"yeah, it's kinda hot here." i lied, giving her a little glare, but she had the widest smile on her face.
"let me hold that for you." she took the sweater in her hands after i took it off.
"so what do you guys want to do now?" jen asked.
