"what would you do if i wasn't in your life the way i am right now?" i played with her necklace, with my head on her chest.
"i would probably obsess over you and drool over you in secret like i was before." she chuckled.
"i don't believe that you actually had a crush on me for that long." i whispered.
"i don't get how that concept is hard for you to grasp, i literally would daydream about you sometimes." she laughed at herself.
"just sometimes?"
"i lied, most of the time." she corrected herself.
"i love you billie." i kissed her collarbone.
"i love you too emery." she held me tighter. "i'll always love you."
"always? no matter what? even if we didn't make it?" i asked.
"why would you say that? we're gonna make it." she gasped. "and yes i'll always love you, no matter what."
"i just gave a hypothetical thought." i lightly shrugged.
"even if we're not together in the future you will always be a person i love, i'll always pick up the phone if you called and i'll always be there if you need me. no matter what." she assured me.
"even if we ended on a bad note?"
"yes emery, even then."
"we'll see." i whispered.
"emery!"
"sorry that was my inner voice talking, not me." i smiled.
"don't think about that, i'm here now and you're here now, and that's what matters." she told me.
"i wish i could not think about it." i buried my face into her neck and closed my eyes .

"i wanted to be the one that came to pick you up." billie whined.
"my mom would've immediately picked up on it." i smiled. "plus i would rather be here with your mom taking a whole albums worth of photos."
"emery i love your hair pulled back like that!" maggie complimented as she took more pictures. i had a half up half down situation on my head, not sure if i like or not. maggie is most definitely the best hype girl though.
"thank you." i smiled.
"mom i think that's enough." billie laughed.
"come on do a silly one, just one more picture." maggie said.
"oh my god mom!" billie groaned but rolled her eyes and got on one knee, pretending to be proposing to me, i made a shocked face and the picture was taken. "one day we'll have the real deal."
"what would you do if i proposed to you?" i smiled.
"i would say no and propose to you after an hour of planing it, and you bet it would be the most epic proposal to have ever been known." she answered.
