Tyler's POV

God is real. He is here. He watches our every move. He created all life.

He created us all different, but equal. He just made us a little bit more different.

" Look, Trissy and China." I said, purposely trying to get under their skin. " You two get to come with us. We will find our family and when we do you better hope they aren't dead." I got in their face to intimidate them. Chrissy breathed heavily and for a moment her breath faultered and went back to normal. " I have a killer right hook and you don't want to be in the path of that." I stepped back a little and let Lena do the rest of the talking.

" You have an option." Lena clasped her hands together. " You can come with us and answer all of our questions or you can come with us and answer all of our questions while being tortured." Lena gave a small smile, mentally weighing the options. Even though Lena was gentle and cared for others she didn't leave things unnoticed. I learned that a few hours ago.

" We can answer them right here." They both said.

" Fine. Who is trying to destroy the human race?" She asked coldly.

" Us."

" Who is 'us'?"

" The Plague."

" You call yourself ' The Plague'?" Danielle asked raising a brow.

" You see it's quite ironic actually. Plagues wipe out whatever is in its path. They take over. Ever so slowly they kill. As do we. So it fits rather nicely." Says Tina with a smile. She had this twisted gleam in her eye that gave me an uneasy feeling.

" Well, this is just perfect." I threw my hands in the air and let them fall. " We not only have Specials on steroids, but they already have a name for their gang." I rolled my eyes and shook my head. This couldn't possibly get any worse.

" Where is this ' dark room'?"

" In the darkest place you once called home." She replied smirking.

" What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

" It means that if you kill us you're family dies. They aren't here."

" How many are there of you?" Asked Lena balling up her fists.

" Dozens. All over the world. By killing us you only make the rest angrier." Chrissy replied with a wide sinister smile spread across her face.

" I'll take my chances." Kendal said snarling.

I've noticed that ever since Lena has came into his life he's been different. He acts more protective and....shut out from the world. He seems brighter, but tries to keep it hidden and under control. He looks at her with caring and empathetic eyes, but his words say he wants nothing to do with her.

" Go ahead." They invited.

He groaned and turned his back on them. I could see that they were beginning to get under his skin. In a blink of an eye he could kill them, but something always told him to turn away.

" Listen here," Lena walked up to Chrissy and grabbed her by her throat and began to choke her. Chrissy coughed and scratched at Lena's hands, but she didn't even blink. Like she couldn't even feel it. " I'm tired of your invites. The only reason you're still alive is because I gave the order. So if push comes to shove that smirk will be wiped off of your face for good. Am I clear?"

Chrissy nodded and said, " Clear as mud." Sarcasm dripped off of her words and Lena was none to pleased. Lena's grip got tighter and Chrissy's face began to turn an odd shade of purple. Tonya finally stepped in and pulled Lena back. I would have let her carry on, but you know, we have to do the right thing. She faced Lena, smiled and blinked a few times. If you hadn't been watching you would have missed Tonya right hook Chrissy in the face.

Everyone's eyes grew side as Tonya beat the crap out of the twins. " I. Am. Done. With. The. Bull!" She said in short clipped words.

" Tonya!" Kendal shouted racing to grab her arms. Tonya broke free and began to pound their face in again. Chrissy first and then Tina, taking turns on each one. After watching this wonderful sight I sighed. Mikell and I stepped in and grabbed her arms. Kendal wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her back.

" Let me go!" She shouted as she struggled against our grip.

" Tonya, how could you." I said and then paused. " I wanted to do it." I pretended to pout.

" You!" Chrissy shouted and ran at her with full speed. Her face was bleeding and bruises already formed along her cheek. I was a little intimidated by Tonya now.

" Oh, hell no!" Lena charged at Chrissy and grabbed her by her arm. " You don't touch my friends." As she said that Lena punched her in her jaw and she was out. Lena shook out her hand and went to finish the job. She quickly pulled back when she realized she was out. She turned to Tina and snarled at her. " Try me." Tina cowered by the wall as if trying to blend in with it. Danielle grabbed her by her wrist and pulled her up.

" See what you get when you piss off my friends." He told her smiling.

" Can I let you go now?" Kendal asked as he stretched his neck to see her Tonya's face.

" Yes." She barked and stopped struggling against our hold.

" That sure was something." I said trying to lighten everyone up. " I'm impressed, Tonya. It took three guys to hold you back. Lena, you went from zero to a hundred in a matter of three seconds. I think I peed a little when you went full on beast." I said and laughed.

" Yeah. Sorry, Lena. I know you wanted answers." Tonya apologized examining her hand. It was cut and bleeding, with minor bruises.

" Hey, s'okay." She shrugged her shoulders. "I kind of finished where you left off." They joked.

" We should take them back to the safe and give the all good call. Looks like we have another job to do." Danielle said sighing. We all shook our heads.

" The darkest place you call home." I repeated. " What is that supposed to mean?"

" I don't know. Do they mean it literally, like no lights on, or in a sense where darkness is evil?" Tonya asked pinching the bridge of her nose.

" How are we supposed to figure this out?" Mikell asked.

I noticed how everyone was on edge. I mean I understand we just faced a superhuman on steroids and two twins with hypnotic abilities. There's something more here, though. This riddle means something, to all of us. But what? The darkest place you call home.

I thought back to my own home. When I got back from that camp my house didn't feel like my home anymore. I was changed. I didn't feel comfortable there like I once was. I didn't feel safe, but now this is my home. This place isn't dark and it carries no evil, but my house isn't my home anymore so it can't mean that either.

The camp.

At one point or another I considered that my home. I didn't feel safe, or protected, but I always thought that that would be my home forever. So I got used to it and behaved like I was told. It was an evil place, but it was home. The darkest place you called home.

The camp.
