Kendal's POV
The next day we all met up in Testing room Seven. This was the only testing room with a safe room inside of it and that had weapons. How ironic.
" So when do we head out. It shouldn't take us long to get there right? Isn't the camp in Trenton, Georgia? Or around there?" Asks Tilar pointing to Trenton on the map.
John looks at her with concerning eyes. " Trenton is across the US. You'd be lucky to get there in seven or so hours."
" Wait a minute, where are we at?" Asks Danielle skimming the map.
" You guys don't know?" I chuckle and shake my head.
" You're in New Orleans. It'll be a seven hour drive for us." Tyler says holding his finger up. " That is with no stops." He added quickly.
" I lived in Atlanta. We all lived in Atlanta." Lena says angrily. How did we get here and us not know it?"
" The drug we had on the cloth that knocked all of you out kept you asleep for six and a half hours. It was orginally a generic sleep aid, but it's been modified to knock out even the largest animals. It's like a horse tranquilizer, but slightly less effective for horses." Says Tyler matter of factly.
Underneath his supposed charm and stupidity, he was smarter than the average person. It was a calming sense to have a friend that, not only made you laugh, but gave you the answers you needed. It was a calming feeling.
Lena sighed and shook her head in an unwordly manner.
" How did our parents get here?" Tonya asks angrily.
" Hover plane." Tyler answers giving his well-duh look.
" Okay, as long as we're sharing has anyone ever gone skinny dipping in the Mississippi river?" I say sarcastically. I received a few laughs and evil looks. Lena stared daggers at me. If looks could kill I would be dead.
" Can't we use the Hover planes to get us to Trenton?" Asks Mikell placing both of his hands on his knees.
" Unfortunately," John dropped his head. " No. Two of our agents took them to Forks, Wahington to pick up Specials. We only have two."
We all groaned and shook our heads. I glanced at Lena. She seemed okay with the idea of us taking hover boards. Why was that?
" When are we leaving and what's our mission?" Asks Tilar crossing her legs on the floor and props herself up on her hands behind her.
" You leave tomorrow and your mission is to find the hostages. If along the way you run into any Specials take them with you. If you for some reason don't know if they're a Special always ask the million dollar question: Were you ever put in the camp at Trenton. A lot of humans will reply by backing away nervously or are hesitant. Specials will just reply to your question or ask you a different one."
" It's that easy?" Danielle asks.
" Yes."
" You may run into other agents, they're scattered all over the country." He tells to us.
With those last words the intercom came on. " Good evening fellow Special and guests, we are terribly sorry for the interruption, but we need to see the following in the Compound lobby. Instructor John Mason, Instructor Kendal Smith, Agent Tyler Rowson, Agent Paul Rison, Agent Cara Smith and newcomers Mikell Wes, Tilar Veil, Danielle Craymer, Tonya Garcia, and Lena Hew. I am Jennifer Lawson and this is your mid-day announcement." The intercom shuts off and we all exchange looks. Everyone of us was called, but two people were called that we didn't know. This somehow wasn't about moldy food I the cafe.
" John, who is Paul Rison and Cara Smith?" Tilar asks nervously as we head down to the lobby.
" I'm not sure." He answers anxiously.
" What do you think they want?" I ask pushing my hands in my pockets.
I had to admit to myself that I Was nervous. Out of all the times I have been here no one named Cara and Paul have been assigned as agents. I don't ever remember training a Cara or Paul, though I train few people, I know everyone in the Compound, as does John and Tyler.
" Who are these people?" Lena asks getting closer to John. She looked nervous and anxious.
" I wish I knew. I've never heard of them." He looks in front of us as we start to approach the lobby. He gives a reassuring smile and sighs.
As we stand before two adults we all give them a nod. The guy looks older, he has a shadow and is built like John is: muscular and average height. The girl is short with illuminating green eyes, she has short brown hair and is fair skinned. She was very pretty but her look was intimidating. She carried herself confidently, her looks gave it away.
" I haven't seen you before. Who are you?" I ask tilting my chin in the air. They didn't reply, but just stood in a formal position; hands folded in front of them.
A woman walked in and introduced herself. "Hello everyone. If you don't know who I am, my name is Jal. I am the Secretary for the Compound."
She looked more like Barbie than human. More plastic filled her body than water. Her lips stuck out so far she could kiss the President three thousand miles away. Her boobs and butt were as large as watermelons. It was a displeasing sight to see.
" This, my friends, is Paul Rison and Cara Smith." She hung around Paul in a seductive way. She placed her hand on his chest and smiled. " Paul is an agent from Facility. It's in London. Cara," She rolled her eyes at the name. " Is an agent from Center, in Sydney."
" And they're here why?" Tyler asks raising an eyebrow at them.
" We have business. I have come to deliver the news that Specials are at war. Specials have killed two hundred humans in a matter of two days." Says Paul not breaking his form.
" Why haven't you taken this up with, I don't know, the president of the oh-so free United states." Days Tyler giving a sarcastic smile waving his hands for effect. I chuckled at his words before I realized Cara was glaring at me.
" We have. He says to appoint you, and I quote, president of the alien race." Paul fought to hide a smile and Cara nudged him with her elbow. That didn't seem to professional.
" What do you mean?" John looked baffled by his words.
" He figures since we are not born citizens of the US you may not be swore in. You are now the leader." He sighs and begins to speak again. " You know what, can I stop with the professional shit." He breaks his form and we all step back in shock. " John, you are officially president of our race. Is there some place we can go to discus this matter." He clenched his jaw and began to follow the very shocked John. We all followed behind.
We all walked in silence to the Office. It's John's office next to his bedroom.
" I don't understand. What does this mean? How am I the President of our race?" He asks still baffled.
" John, every Special in this world is being shipped to America." Paul's face sunk as he said these words. " American's are being moved out of the country for free." Paul's voice was empty. He showed no emotion, but his face showed everything.
" Oh my god. Do you know what this means?"
" Yes, I am aware."
John rubbed his chin and sighed.
" Riots everywhere, fires, burning of towns, murders. Damn it." He punched the desk in frustration and stood up.
" What do we do, President Mason?"
" I am not president and I don't know what to do. We have to stop this."
Oh my god. This is bad.
" Guys, we have a problem." I say and sit down on John's love seat.
" No kidding."
