Chapter 18

Kendal's POV

I pulled away and smiled at her. She smiled wide and I wrapped my arm around her. We watched as Tilar's eyebrows raised and she fought to hide her approving smile.

" You guys disgust me." Tilar lied looking away in disgust.

We laughed and kept walking.

" So what changed your mind?" Lena asked looking up at me.

I looked away and smiled
" I decided to quit punishing myself and finally reward myself." I looked down at her. She was so beautiful. Her fair skin and average size just fit. The blond hair falling freely over her shoulders made it that much better. The best part of her was that she never gave up on me.

" It's about time." Mikell said wrapping his arm around Tilar's shoulders. Tilar giggled and fell into Mikell.

" I know right." Lena said playing along with them.

" I mean if he didn't make his move sooner Lena was planning on moving on to Tyler." Tilar looked at me and nodded her head in mock seriousness.

" Yeah, Lena kept telling me how much she adored him. She was planning on surprising him later." Mikell added.

" Haha, guys very funny. I know you're just joking." I said rolling my eyes at them. They looked at me and looked away nonchalantly. " You are kidding right?" I looked at Lena, she just smiled and avoided my eyes. " Right?" I repeat.

Lena laughs and nods her head. " Yeah." She tightens her arm around me.

We approached Danielle's door and Tilar knocks. Danielle opens the door with his backpack. He joins us and we begin to walk to Tyler's room.

" What time is it, Mikell?" I ask.

" 11:57." He replies.

" So you two are an item now?" Danielle asks pointing to Lena and I.

We shake our heads.

" It's about time." Danielle says smirking.

" That's what I said." Says Tilar grinning.

" Well I mean it was only a matter of time." Mikell says looking back at us.

" I get it okay." I say frustrated with them.

" Oh, cheer up. We're only teasing. Besides we are going off to the one place that nearly killed us to save our family that some psycho kidnapped." Lena says raising an eyebrow tilting her head for effect.

" It's only fair." Tilar makes a pouty face and looks .

" We need to speed this process along." Danielle comments. We all huff and stop talking.

Moments later we get to Tyler's door. I knock three times. Tyler finally opens the door and looks at us. Lena gasps. His lip was swollen and busted, his eye was black, and he walked out wincing.

" Dude, what chick did you piss off?" I ask staring in shock.

" What happened?" Asks Lena reaching out to touch his lip. He jerked back and shook his head.

" Who did this?"

" Nobody important. Can we get going now?" He says trying to avoid the subject.

We nod our heads and begin to walk in Tonya's direction.

" Tyler, I'm serious what happened to you?" I ask again.

" Nothing. It doesn't matter." He ignored me and caught up with Mikell.
