Trey's POV

Liberty and I just sit on the couch in my living room and talk. No kissing. No touching. Just talk like adults. She tells me why she was crying, and I feel really bad for her. That's what happens sometimes when you date the star football player.

"You loved him?" I ask her.

She makes a face and hesitates,"Not reallllyy. I mean, I liked him, but I don't think I could ever love him."

"Then it won't be too hard to get over him."

"The sex was good though...I'll miss that." She says smirking mischievously.

Not expecting that response, I laugh nervously and take a sip of my water.

"I don't think he's the ONLY man who can give good sex." I reply.

She raises an eyebrow, and we stare at each other for a minute. The silent question between is "Can you do it better?".

"How about you?,"she asks,"Are you in a relationship?"

"Ah. Nope. I just got out of an 18 month relationship two months ago." I say biting my lip.

"I'm sorry to hear that. You loved her?"

"Yes. Loved. I used to love her. Not any more. She's crazy."

"How crazy?" She asks chuckling.

"Crazy like "I'll blow up your phone all day acting like we never broke up." I say smiling.

She laughs and says," And why did ya'll break up."

I shrug and say," I caught her cheating."

She smiles sadly," I guess we're kind of the same there then. Cheating exes."

I nod my head in agreement. We continue to talk about our exes, and tell each other funny anecdotes. You never realize how funny a past situation is until you tell it out loud to someone else.

"Why'd you stop talking to me?" She asks abruptly.

The question takes me by surprise. I can't let her know the real truth. I'll just give her a piece.

"After what happened with us that morning, I just felt that we crossed that line." I tell her.

"That line? The kiss?" She asks.

"It was more than a kiss Liberty. We could've easily went farther if no one barged in on us."

She shrugs and smiles.

"Honestly, Trey. We both know we wouldn't have minded if we went all the way."

I blush and chuckle at her honesty. She's right. I would have loved to make love to her. Stop Tremaine. I need to change the subject NOW.

"You must be tired. I'll drive you home." I say. It was 2:30 am.

She pouts a little and gets up. I pull her to me for a hug. She smells so good.

"If you weren't my student, this would've been different." I say in her ear.

She pulls back and smiles sadly.

"Don't say that," she says.

"It's true, Liberty. You're just my type." I say.

She blushes and pushes me away. Arriving to the front of her apartment building, I shut off the engine of my car.

"Why you turn off the car?" Liberty asks.

"To do this," I say before going in for a kiss.

She's stunned at first, but she loosens up. I break the kiss before it gets heated.

"Had to do that one last time." I say while gripping my steering wheel.

"Thanks, Trey. For everything." She says while blushing.

She's so damn gorgeous. She kisses my cheek before exiting my car. I'm sure to watch her fattie as she walks into the building. Back to Mr. Neverson.
