Trey
Finally back on DC and away from all the drama. Krissy is still insisting that her baby is mine even though the DNA test proved otherwise. There was something in her eyes that showed desperation and want that really creeped me out.

"Please, Trey. I need you to help me with the child." She begs while on her knees and holding onto my legs.

"No, Krissy! You made your decisions. I'm not cleaning up your mess." I say while pulling away and walking out of her apartment.

I block out her yells and screams as I drive down the street. I can't stand her butt. She's the reason why Liberty hates me.

As I drive into the driveway of my home, I call my boys Dwayne, Chris, and August so that we can have a little reunion.

"Come by around 6pm." I tell Chris.

"Ight. See you then." He says and hangs up.

As soon as I enter my house, I kick off my shoes and hop on the couch. It's Saturday and classes start on Monday. I'm hoping to see Liberty so that I can talk to her.

I miss her cooking. Damn, she knew how to throw it down. Her pretty aśś face and cute butt that I loved grabbing randomly to piss her off. Her laugh was so cute, and when we made love, that shît was explosive.

"Call me please. I need to talk to you. Please." I text her.

I set my phone down so I can unpack and take my mind off Liberty.

Liberty
My phone vibrates as I do my homework. I check it to see that it's Trey.

"Call me please. I need to talk to you. Please." He says.

My eyes blur with tears. He's not making it easy to forget him. I can't take it anymore. I dial his number and hear the ring. My heart beats and my palms begin to sweat. The tone stops when he picks up.

"Hello, Liberty?" He says.

His voice sounds the same. A nice soothing baritone.

"Trey." Is all that I say.

"I..I wasn't expecting you to call so soon." He admits.

"I don't know. I just called to....tell you that I transferred out of Howard." I say

There's a silence on his end as he processes.

"I understand." He replies sadly.

I miss him so freaking much and it's pissing me off. Why did it have to end the way it did? I break down and begin to cry.

"Why, Trey? Why?" I ask as my voice breaks.

"I'm so sorry, Liberty. I need you to understand that my heart is for you. I've had time to think these past couple weeks and I realized that...that I love you. I know I fxcked up."

I cry even harder. He loves me.

"Shut the hèll up. You say this when we're 200 miles apart?" I say angrily.

"I'll come to you and say it to your face!" He says.

I roll my eyes.

"No you're not. Just stay at Howard and do you and I'll do me up here." I say.

"I can't deny the feelings I have for you Liberty. I know you feel the same way. Why can't we just move past this?" He asks in anguish.

"Because I'm not ready yet."

"When will you be?" He asks.

I pause.

"I don't know, Trey. I don't even know why I called anymore."

"Because you know you love me too. The connection between us is undeniable."

I hang up and throw a notebook across the room.
