Trey rubs my knee under the kitchen table as we all eat at the restaurant. We're sitting right across from my parents and I can sense Trey is still a little nervous. My best friends and brother sit with us also. I place my hand over his to make him stop.

Dude is making me nervous and I just graduated.

"Wow, you're 25 and a college professor. That wasn't an easy thing to do." My mom says.

"Oh no. It was very hard, but I was determined to finish." Trey replies.

The waiter comes back to our table and refills our drinks.

"Are you a Christian, young man?" My father asks while peering at Trey.

"Yes, sir. And, I go to church whenever I can." He says.

My father nods in approval and sips his drink.

"Have you decided where you want to go for pharmacy school yet?" Trey asks me.

I shrug. It's been hard because I'm pulled between two places. CT or DC?

"I don't know yet, babe. It's tough."

He squeezes my hand and nods.

"No pressure. I'll support you no matter what decision you make." He says sincerely, but I know what he wants.

My heart melts. I would kiss him, but my parents are right in front of us. I don't want to make them feel uncomfortable.

"And this is one of the reasons why I love you." I say.

He kisses my hand and smiles.

"Y'all are so dang cute." Rihanna says with a mouth full of food.

"Ew. Don't talk with your mouth full." My brother says from across from her.

"Are you mad?" Rihanna asks while putting more food into her mouth.

They continue to go back and forth until I shut them up. After lunch, we all head back to the house. Trey sits in the living room while the rest of us change out of our clothes. I'm the first one to finish so I run down the stairs back to my man.

I jump on top of him and kiss him repeatedly.

"Come back with me to my hotel so I can change. What are y'all about to do now?" He asks.

"Well, my party is tomorrow so there's nothing really tonight." I reply.

"Ight. I'll take you out." He says.

"Just you and me?

"Yeah. None of your crazy aśs friends." He says.

I laugh and lightly slap his chest.

"They're not crazy."

"Yeah right."

My dad busts in like a cop.

"Not in my house." He says sternly.

I hop off of Trey and burn red in embarrassment.

"Sorry, sir. It'll never happen again." Trey says in embarrassment also.

"I'm going out with Trey, Daddy." I say while taking Trey's hand.

He nods. Deep down, I know my father loves Trey. I yell to everyone else that I'm leaving and I'll be back later. I grab my car keys and walk out of the house behind Trey.

"Where are you staying?" I ask him as we walk out to the car.

"The Omni downtown." He replies.

"Dang! That place is high class. You got money." I say while unlocking the car. Trey chuckles.

"Because I have money to blow, honey."

We get into the car and I start the engine. We have a pleasant drive over, and I park my car in the hotel garage. We get out of the car and make our way into the fancy hotel. Everything looks too expensive to touch.

I stop to look at an old painting, but Trey pulls me along.

"C'mon baby. We'll look later." He says before placing an arm around my waist.

We make it to his suite and I plop on the king-sized bed.

"This is the epitome of luxury, Trey." I say while rolling around in his velvet sheets.

"Mhhm." He replies while unbuttoning his dress shirt.

I watch him undress and he catches me staring. He smirks.

"Like what you see?" He asks with his shirt open and his abs shown.

I lick my lips and nod. Trey's body always has me weak. With his pants still on, he climbs on top of me and kisses my lips.

"A quickie then we go." He says.

"Stop wasting time, then," I say while unbuckling his pants.

He smashes his lips on mine and takes control. Best graduation ever.
