chapter 7 ~ contract

You hear a knock on the door and wonder who it is, as there is no window. But you stay on the floor with no energy to get up. However, this person is very persistent and keeps knocking. You groan and get up to unlock the door. As you do, you see Jiwoo standing there with a bunch of paperwork.

"Come on, I need you to go somewhere to sigh all these."
You pout your lips and make doe eyes in a horrible attempt to escape doing the paperwork, but he maintains a stern face.

"If you don't, they will have no other choice but to terminate your contract, and there won't be no solo or Stray Kids. And dont act like I dont know about the little Live you just did."
You follow him into an empty conference room. As you start to look at all the paperwork, you realise it is all the contacts you had signed before we started preparing for the comebacks which was basically a repackage of what we signed before debuting with skz. However, there was a new one displaying all the things you couldn't do whilst on hiatus.

-have an Instagram account
-chat on bubble
-have any lives or be in any
-interact with fans in public ( give autographs)
-go out with any other idols apart from skz
-attend any kind of award show
And many more, as you read through them and reach the bottom of the page; there is a discalimer statibg that if any of these rules are broken under standard circumstances JYPE would have the opportunity to terminate your 7 year contract that had less than a year left on it. You look up to Jiwoo with a shocked face, dropping the pen on the table and crossing your arms around your chest.

"So basically, I can't have any kind of social life?"

"Basically."
You sigh and sign the contract saying I agree with all the above.

"So I have now been removed from the comeback completely?"
You are still in partial disbelief that the 3/4 months you spent preparing for the comeback was all thrown down the drain.

"I thought it was obvious from the start, but yes, and if you are wondering, I don't know how long you will be under hiatus for. Most likely until things calm down or until the next comeback."

"Fucking hell, if I'm going through this, I have no idea what is happening to Soobin."
Jiwoo collects all the paperwork in a neat pile.
"One of the staff is on the phone with HYBE. It's more complicated for them because their comeback was 2 weeks ago, so he can't even participate in any of the promotions."

"Shit... I didn't even know how much worse things would be for him."

"I think it's best if you go home and get some rest, clear your mind because signing all these contracts is the minimum of what you are going to have to do. I'll call a driver."
You nod and thank her for today and go down the corridor to our practice room to collect your things. You pick your duffle bag up, making sure you leave nothing behind. Closing the door behind you and walking down the corridor to the lift, a number of employees go by whispering to each other, looking at you. Its impossible to not guess what they are talking about, but you suck it in and press the lift button. You arrive on the ground floor and make your way to the car park behind the building to see Jiwoo already standing by the car.

"I'll stay here and update you if anything happens or if I get any more details, ok?"
You hug him, thankful for doing as much as he could.

"Thank you so much, Jiwoo-ssi. I know you are probably also tired."
We say farewell, and you get into the van. The driver already knows the way to the dorms.
You take your phone out and try calling Soobin, but when he doesn't pick up, you try Yeonjun, and he does.

"Y/N, thank god you called."
He sound's relieved and exhausted simultaneously.
"What happened to Soobin?"

"No one knows yet he is in the meeting room with the CEO and a bunch of other officials, and he has been in there for an hour. What happend with you?"
