chapter 16~ change of plans

Everyone finally makes it to the summit, settling down under the wooden canopy, all out of breath.

"We for real consumed a litre of alcohol each last night and you woke up today and went ' yup im going to tourture everyone by taking them up a whole freaking mountain'."
Jeongin complains to you with an unamused tone before slumping down on to the ground, stretching his arms and legs and clutching his backpack.
Felix, without a doubt, sits next to Changbin, and soon enough, they are both too engrossed in the food in front of them to appreciate the view. Hyunjin and Seungmin sit on either side of you both snacking on convenience store Kimbap, that was neither good nor bad. You lean to the side and ask seungmin about the video from last night. He nonchalantly takes out his phone as if the event was just some common occurance and finds it amongst a plethora of selfies before handing it to you. The video is partially blurry as if he's shaking the phone, but in the middle it's very clear how Felix has jumped onto Changbin and wrapped his legs around his waist as they slowly make out with each other. Jeongin stands behind them. The jaw dropped once again, and Chan is squealing in the background, so drunk that he's holding an empty beer can like a camera attempting to 'film' the crazy scene. The angle moves slightly to the left, to reveal Hyunjin coming back inside the building with a pair of trainers in his hands, Minho follows with drooped eyelids and you asleep on his back along with the table we were eating at lined with empty bottles of Hallasan and a Jisung passed out cold with his arms spread out, mouth open and drool pooling on the the table. Hyunjin drops the shoes and starts jumping up and down whilst clapping, and the video abruptly ends when someone one starts screaming. You hand the phone back to him in shock of what you have just watched... and missed out on.

"It was crazy wasn't it, by the way? I think you got that from when you fell on the beach."
Hyunjin had been leaning over your shoulder, watching the video with you the whole time. He points to a fresh bruise on your leg that hasn't quite turned purple yet. As hes pointing, you notice the area under his sleeve, rolled up to the forearm is super red, and you place an hand over it; turning ti him with a concerned look. He quickly covers it with his sleeve and mummbles "mosquito bite."
Nodding, you take a bite out of a beef jerky stick.

"Yea, it's so sad that I was asleep the whole time and wasn't there to witness this moment in history."
You look up to Felix, who is looking at you already, and he jokingly rolls his eyes whilst giving you the middle finger.

"It wasn't a 'moment in history.' I was just really really drunk, trust me." 
Changbin furrows his eyebrows and tilts his head back and, with a sarcastic tone.

"That's definitely not what you told me this morning after breakfast."
Felix slaps him across the thigh playfully as Changbin keeps laughing and slaps him back harder. Whilst the two fully grown men play fight with each other, you turn to Jisung, who is sitting next to Felix with his eyes closed, rocking his body back and fourth slightly. You were just about to ask if he had also woken up with a bad headache, when your phone rings unexpectedly. Seungmin leans over to see who it is and you flip the phone over, as it was face down, to reveal once again the caller ID to be JYP himself.

"Guys, it's him again."
Seungmin stands up and hands the phone over to Bang Chan, who is sitting next to Hyunjin and tells you to stand up and go with Seungmin before giving a look to Jeongin, who gets up too. Confused, you follow them out of the canopy and a couple meters away by some rocks.

"Why did you take me over here?"
Seungmin leans on a large rock behind him and crosses his arms around his chest.

"I thought you'd rather not listen to their conversation. When you first left, it got quite heated to the point where Changbin told us both to leave for a bit."
Jeongin sits next to Min, cross-legged and nods his head in agreement.
