You had insisted that Chan could stay at the company and that you would come with Felix, but now that you were in the back of an ambulance. The nausea was setting in again as you watched the paramedics hook him up to an oxygen tank and take his vitals. And when he was being rolled into the A&E, the fact that you were not allowed to come with him didn't sit right with you. The nurse leads you back to the waiting room, and you sit down in the far back corner in hopes of not getting recognised. Your phone rings, and as you take it out of the back pocket, expecting it to be Chan, you see the caller ID to the Soobin. You answer almost immediately.
"Hey Y/N I just saw what happened to Hyunjin online. Is he okay right now?"
"I don't know me Chan, Felix and him went to the company and a staff member dragged him into the meeting room not letting anyone else in and the Felix collapsed at the cafeteria out of the blue so now I'm In the A&E waiting room hoping that a nurse will let me see him soon."
"Oh my gosh, that's horrible. Does anyone know how dispatch got ahold of those files?"
"No one knows right now. I hope that they launch an investigation, Chan thought it was super suspicious, as when we first found out and called the company, no one picked up the phone."
You sigh, looking up at the plethora of colourful posters on the wall, one explaining how to treat an unresponsive person.
"Soobin, I'm so scared right now. He's being accused of misusing drugs, and there's clear evidence to support it. No one is going to be focusing on how dispatch got the results but on why the global ambassador of Versace and a member of Stray kids is doing drugs. Did you see the comments under the post?"
"Y/N take a deep breath. The most important thing right now is that both Felix and Hyunjin are safe and healthy. If I were you, I would go ask a doctor or nurse what their policy on private information is."
"But I'm not even in the same hospital that he got admitted to."
"Well, there has got to be some sort of universal law that applies to all hospitals like how phone companies have to encrypt certain data."
"I see what you mean by that. Let me go ask real quick."
You keep him on the line and stand up to go walk to the reception desk. There isn't a line, so you go up to a nurse that seems the least busiest and ask.
"Good evening, I was wondering what your policy was on private information like blood test results like who is allowed to access them and if it's illegal if you aren't related to them."
"Ah yes, most results like blood tests can only be accessed by family members with permission from the patient. However, if they are not in the right mind to speak for themselves its the parents or main guardians that are only allowed to see them due to confidentiality. If you were wondering also no medical staff are allowed to access them unless the patent is being referred to a different ward and hospital or if they have permission do so from a Head Doctor if that answers your question."
You bow politely and express your gratitude, and as you walk back to your seat, you bring the phone back to your ear.
"You heard that, right? It's got to be either a doctor who treated Hyunjin or his parents."
"Well, I highly doubt it would be his own parents, so it's got to be a doctor, but why?"
Slumping back into the chair, you sigh again, closing your eyes, rubbing your temples.
"I don't know, Soobin, this week has been so hectic, and it just hurts my heart knowing what my members are going through and that fact that I can't help them."
