Monique's Pov
I woke up this morning, not really wanting to go to work, it's become a place where I'm constantly put under pressure, all because of him. although I'm not happy anywhere anymore, I'm constantly under pressure, I need to sort myself out, maybe I need to quit, maybe I wasn't ready for this at all.
I got to work and headed straight to the washroom to get the towels, Charlie had just got there, and he smiled at me as I walked in, I just kept walking, I grabbed the towels and headed back out, Charlie was still there, this time shirtless, I looked over, he bit his lip slightly and winked at me, I looked away and left the locker room. I got to my office and put the towels down before I put all my stuff away, I set up my laptop and left the door closed, I wasn't prepared for today and I didn't want to deal with whatever it was.
About half an hour later, there was a knock at my door, I sighed, there goes my peace and quiet "Come in" I said, the door opened, and in walked Tom "Hey" he said "Hey Tom what can I do for you?" i asked "its my hamstring again, its really playing up today, i think i pushed too hard at training yesterday" he explained "alright, lets have a look, i said directing him to the table, i grabbed the oil and began feeling around his hamstring, "let me know if there is anything that hurts" i said "its a little painful there" he said just as a past what felt like a knot in his hamstring "there's definitely something, ill give is a good massage try and knead it out and then we'll go from there" i said, Tom agreed "are you alright?" he asked "yeah why?" i questioned "the past couple of days youve been quiet" he said "arent i always?" i laughed "well you always make conversation with me, you havent today, whats going on in that head of yours?" he asked, i laughd "thank you for caring, but if its a big problem ill go and see a shrink, you have your own problems to worry about" i answered "if youre sure, im always here if you need to talk" he said "thank you tom, i really appreciate it". i continued massaging him and once i finished i directedd him to sit down in the chair "my advice would be to take it easy, give training a go today and if the pain persists come back, we want to get this under control before tomorrow, we dont want you missing the game on the weekend" i smiled "no worries thank you Monique, i really appreciate it" he smiled and left the room.
I decided to go for lunch now, by myself, I walked past the oval and saw the boys training, I stopped and watched for a bit. they all looked so happy, so carefree, doing what they loved. "checking us out are ya?" I heard, I turned my attention away and saw Jack "Ha ha very funny, I'm just watching" I said "Yeah yeah, keep telling yourself that" he laughed and continued training. I went to the cafe ordered my food and then sat down at my now usual table, I was just aimlessly scrolling through my phone and eating my food, there wasn't much I wanted to do, I didn't really even want to be here, I really needed to see Amy and jenny and try and sort myself out.
I hadn't realized how long I had been sitting here until it suddenly became louder, some of the boys were leaving and some came to sit in the cafe to talk, including Charlie, I kept my head down and tried to make myself invisible, I didn't want to make conversation I just wanted to be alone. the boys sat down at the table next to mine, Charlie being the closest, I could smell his cologne, it was the most amazing smell I've smelt in my life, I took a deep breath, it consumed me. I started feeling sick, there was definitely something wrong, I got up and left the cafe, I knocked on Lauren's door, "Hey sorry to bother you, im not feeling the best are you alright if I head home now?" I asked "Oh my god darling, you look like death no offense, of course, go go," she said. I thanked her got my stuff and left passing by the cafe as I did so. I got home and went straight to bed. I couldn't deal with it anymore today.
Charlie's Pov
not long after myself the boys sat down, Monique got up and left, she didn't look too good, then about 5 minutes later she had her things and walked out of the club. I hoped she was okay.
