I then grabbed my things and got into my car putting Ed's address into my GPS and beginning my drive to his house. When I arrived I knocked on the door, it didn't look like Charlie was there yet. Emily opened the door "Hey Mon I'm so happy you could come, I needed another girl, these boys like to make up rules" she laughed "Well don't worry I won't let that happen" I smiled. I walked in "You have a beautiful house" I said "Thank you, it's cozy" She smiled "Please sit down and relax, Charlie should be here soon" she said directing me to the couch and she headed into the kitchen.
I sat on my phone for a bit before Ed came downstairs "Hey Mon" he said "Hey" I smiled at him, and he came and sat down with me. "I'm glad you and Charlie worked something out," he said "I don't know how much longer I could take or him complaining that he didn't have you" he laughed "I'm sure he wasn't that bad" I laughed with him "Ed I'm gonna make her my girlfriend, Ed I'm gonna marry her one day" Ed said mimicking Charlie, I laughed "okay yeah I get it, I'm sorry" I laughed "it's fine I'm just glad you sorted yourselves out" he laughed.
Not long after there was a knock on the door, Ed got up to open it and greeted his brother, Charlie walked in, and I stood up to greet him "Hey you" he said "Hey" I smiled and gave him a hug. We all sat down on the couch and Emily came out with some food. We all thanked her. "Alright, what are we playing?" Ed asked grabbing all the board games we had, there were Monopoly, Cluedo, tapple, uno, and more "We haven't played Tapple in a while and we can do girls vs. boys" Emily said excitedly "Okay sounds good" Emily and Charlie went first versing each other the category was movies and they were smashing through the letters after about 2 minutes the timer rang and we all counted how many each of them got, charlie got the most so that meant it was up to me to make it a tie, or the boys won, I took my seat and Emily showed us the theme card, and the timer started. It was crazy and I had such an adrenaline rush I wanted to win so bad. The timer went off and we counted how many we got each and I won! It was a tie "right tiebreaker time!" Ed said excitedly, we each had to pick a player from our team that would do the tiebreaker match. Emily chose me so I sat down again, the boys saw it was me and Charlie sat down, this was going to be good "You're going down Curnow" I said "You think so?" He questioned "You can't win everything" I added, Emily showed us the theme card and then the timer began. I was answering pretty quickly but so was Charlie, this was going to be hard, I had to pull out all the strings, we were locking eyes the whole time, so I did what I could to distract him, I bit my lip, I did everything I could to distract him hoping that it was enough. The timer went off and we added up the scores. "And the winner is..." Ed said "Monique!" Emily yelled excitedly, "Ha! Yes!" I said laughing at Charlie "You distracted me it's not fair" Charlie complained "Now you know how I feel, get used to it" Ed laughed.
we then decided to play Charades, still girls vs. boys, so Emily and I were in a team and Charlie and Ed were in a team. The boys went first and it was hilarious to watch, they were arguing more than they were actually guessing what was being acted out. after that complete failure, us girls were up next, and I felt like we smashed it, we looked at the scores of how many each team got right, and it was obvious that we did "You boys need to get your shit together" Emily said laughing "let's see you beat us at footy" Charlie said "now you know that's not fair, at least we are beating you in something that you have a fair chance at winning in, its not my fault you're dumb" i said laughing "woah, woah, I'm not dumb" Charlie defended "she said both of you" Emily laughed "okay okay, before you both fight and Monique wins, let's relax on the couch" Ed said laughing, the comment making charlie give him a death glare.
