Chapter 22

Charlie's Pov

I had just entered my room after my conversation with Brian "Yo dude, you okay? you look like you've seen a ghost?" Ed asked "Huh? oh yeah I'm okay" I said answering, Ed dropped it thankfully, but only to pick it right up again moments later "Nah, something is wrong, what's up?" he asked, this was Ed being my brother, he knew about Monique and I so to tell him would be okay and im thankful hes here "okay fine, well Brian came up to me in the hallway, the chat started off normal but then he asked what i thought about Mon, i said that she was good and very professional, he then asked about the rumor, and i said it was funny cause it wasn't true and he seemed to doubt that and he said that we wouldnt find it funny if he caught the two of us, and then he went into his room" i told him everything "okay so he knows" Ed said "well i dont know" i answered "is he just doing it to warn us? Because if he knew he would have already done something about it right?" I asked "Well maybe, unless he only has the rumor, that's not enough concrete evidence to be able to fire either of you" Ed explained "Okay so he knows" I admitted "We need to assume that he does, otherwise you'll be too risky, at least if we believe he knows you guys won't do anything stupid," Ed said "yeah..." I said "right Charlie? nothing stupid" Ed asked for confirmation "Yes Ed nothing stupid" I sighed "Good, alright, you need to tell her," he said "I will" I answered as I sat on my bed after pacing around the room for the last 5 minutes.

I grabbed my phone and messaged her

Charlie: Hey, we need to talk

Monique: is everything okay?

Charlie: Brian came up to me in the hallway

Monique: I saw that, is there something wrong? Does he know?

Charlie: we need to assume he does

Monique: oh no, what happened?

Charlie: Well the conversations started off fine, and then he asked my opinion on you, I said you were good and professional, then he asked for my opinion on the rumor and I said it was funny because it wasn't true, then he said that we wouldn't find it funny if he caught the two of us and then he left

Monique: oh my god, did he threaten you, that's not okay!

Charlie: but it most likely means he knows

Monique: so what do we do?

Charlie: I was talking to Ed, and he just said we need to not do anything at all, we know he knows, and he's not going to fire us without concrete evidence so we need to make sure he doesn't get that

Monique: okay I can do that

Charlie: me too

Monique: I'm sorry

Charlie: what for?

Monique: for making you go through this, you are at risk of losing your career, your dream

Charlie: so are you

Monique: yeah but I can find a job doing the same thing anywhere, you could try but your record will be tainted

Charlie: well he won't get any evidence that it will be okay

Monique: you're right, we can play this game too

Monique: right change of topic please, this is depressing

Charlie: so did you see that fan? the one who wanted to marry me

Monique: I did, I was standing near her the whole training session, and not once did she stop talking about you, she is so in love with you 😂

Charlie: well she did propose 😂
