CHAPTER 33

Monique's Pov

I headed back home just like he said. I have never been so worried In my life, but he assured me that he was okay and told me what he did. I didn't think I could love him more than I do but he just proved me wrong.

I was so bored; I had least waited at what felt like an hour for him to get here and he still wasn't here. Suddenly there was a knock at my door, I rushed to open it, I knew it was him and I was so excited. "Hey, you" he said as I opened it "hey" I smiled and let him in, we both collapsed on the couch "what a night huh?" He laughed "yeah, is that baby going to be, okay?" I asked, "I think so yeah" he said "what about the mum?" I added "yeah I think she's gonna make it, she wasn't badly trapped, and I don't think there was any major injuries" he asked "that's amazing, I'm proud of you" I smiled "thanks" he smiled. "Wanna go to bed, it's been a long night" I asked "yeah" Charlie said yawning. I laughed and we both headed up the stairs, cuddled into each other and fell asleep.

The next morning, I woke up to the smell of pancakes, I got up, got dressed and headed downstairs to see Charlie in the kitchen cooking, in nothing but grey sweatpants 😩. "Morning" I said announcing my presence "oh hey" he smiled, I walked over and kissed him on the cheek then sat at the island "I'm cooking you pancakes" he said "what's the occasion?" I asked "well last night made me realize how quickly something bad could happen so I wanted to make sure that you know how much you mean to me" he explained "oh Charlie, this is very sweet of you" I answered as he plated up the pancakes, then came and sat down next to me. "What?" He asked as he sat down "huh?" I asked, "you were just staring at me that whole time, you alright?" He asked, "huh? Oh sorry, just you in those grey sweatpants is doing all kinds of things to me" I answered honestly "oh is it now?" He questioned with a smirk "definitely " I answered looking him up and down. "Well maybe I'll let you have it" he winked "maybe huh?" i raised my eyebrows "well you have to earn it" he smirked. this boy did things to me I never thought possible. 

before I could respond my phone started ringing, I answered it "hello?" I asked "hi Monique is Brian, I just thought I would call you to let you know your suspension has been dropped and you're welcome back at the club now. but please don't make this a habit" he said "oh thank you sir, I appreciate I will see you soon then" I smiled "see you then" he said. I hung up the phone "who was that?" Charlie asked, "it was Brian, my suspension has been dropped, I can go back to work" I said excitedly "oh wow, that's great news!" Charlie said almost as excited as me. I headed upstairs to get ready for work, disregarding what had happened before the phone call. once I was dressed and had my shoes on i went to leave my room and Charlie was leaning against the door frame "yeah?" I asked, "so you're back to being my sports doctor then?" he asked "yeah I guess, while I'm at work at least" I smiled at him and walked past him out my room "good, because we are finishing what we started tonight" he smirked and closed the door. I just shook my head and laughed, I mean it's not like he's wrong, Brian definitely called at the wrong time, but work is work, and I get to go back.

Charlie and I left at the same time, and we headed to the club in separate cars, none of the boys really knew about us and i wanted to try and keep it that way. I arrived at the club and walked in with Charlie, and smiled at him to say goodbye before he headed  to the changerooms to get ready and I headed to my office, it was exactly as I left it, I put all my stuff away and logged into my computer and checked my emails, not that there would have been much because I wasn't working and this was a work email.

there was a knock at my door, "come in" I called, the door opened "oh hey Vossy" I smiled "hey Mon, I thought I would welcome you back" he said "thank you Vossy, that really means I lot, I missed it here" I smiled, he closed the door behind him "I also just thought I'd let you know, that I know about you and Charlie" he said. my eyes widened in shock, I didn't know what to say "I um" I hesitated "it's okay Mon, I'm not mad or angry, I'm happy for the both of you, just wanted to let you know that I was aware of the situation, and as long as you both remain professional ill remain happy" he smiled "of course I will, I don't want to lose this job, it is the most important thing to me at the moment, it's been my dream and to be given the opportunity to do it at such a young age is amazing, I'm not going to mess it up" I smiled "I'm glad to hear it, have a good day" he smiled and left the room, closing the door behind him.

i took a deep breath, glad that the that conversation went well. my phone went off and I turned to grab it, it was Charlie who had messaged me "I love you, have a good day" I smiled and replied back "you too".
