Chapter 13

Monique's Pov

I made it to the airport and ran to the Virgin desk "Excuse me, ma'am, are there any tickets free on your next flight to Sydney?" I asked "Let me have a look," she said. I tapped my foot on the floor, I was so anxious, I quickly rang Brian and Lauren to let them know that I was coming and I was feeling better "There's one seat left on the one leaving in 15 minutes" she said "ill take it" I answered and gave her the money and checked in my back, I then ran through security and to the gate, the plane was already boarding, I scanned my ticket and boarded the plane. now it's just a waiting game.

Charlie's Pov 

we checked into the hotel we were staying at and then made our way to the oval for a preliminary training session before our game tomorrow. 

Monique's Pov

I arrived in Sydney and made my way to the hotel, dropped my bags off, and then headed to the oval where Lauren said they would be. 

i arrived at the oval and headed inside, showed the security my pass, and went straight to the oval looking for Lauren "Monique, Hey Glad you could make it" she smiled "Me too" I said smiling "Everything okay?" she asked "yep, just perfect" I smiled "that's great!" she smiled back at me. I was happy and comfortable again, i was me. I stood with Lauren and watched the boys train, Vossy came over "Glad to have you with us Monique" he smiled as he walked past. 

Charlie's Pov

I was training as hard as I could trying to keep my mind off of her, but it was hard "Yo dude, your girlfriend came after all" Jack said laughing, I looked at him confused and he pointed towards Lauren, and there she was standing next to her, she was smiling, she looked happy, she looked carefree and back to herself, I smiled and went back to training. 

not long later we finished training, Vossy didn't want us to be too tired for tomorrow, so we headed into our locker rooms and got changed, both Lauren and Monique entered not long after us. I headed towards them "Hey" I said smiling at them both "I'll leave you two alone" Lauren smiled and walked away "Hey" Monique said smiling "Feeling better?" I asked "Definitely"  she smiled again, I didn't question her, if she wanted to tell me she would and I respected her privacy "It's good to have you back," I said "ive only been gone a day, not even" she laughed "well it was miserable" I laughed "how sad that you can barely spend less than a day without my presence" she laughed teasing me "making fun of me now are you?" I asked "Oh definitely, you're easy to make fun of" She smiled at me "Good to know" I laughed "See you around Curnow," she said smiling and walking away. she was back, and man did I miss it. I smiled to myself and headed back to my locker to pack everything up "Yo Charlie, we are going out for lunch, you coming?" Tom asked I turned to him Monique, Lauren, Jack, Ed, Patty, Matthew, and Walshy were all waiting for my answer "Sure" I said as we all exited and found a place we all agreed to eat at. 

once we arrived we found and table and sat down deciding what to eat. everyone was having their own discussions, it was good to see everyone getting along, we were like a little family.

Monique's Pov

"so what did you and Charlie talk about?" Lauren asked "About how much he missed me," I said bluntly "Actually?" she asked shocked "Actually" I answered laughing, Lauren looked over at Charlie and laughed, and with me laughing next to her, Charlie was giving me what seemed to be a death glare, which only made me laugh harder "are we making fun of my brother, cause if so, i want in" Ed said joining what was left of the conversation "we were actually" I said looking to Charlie for his reaction "what are we making fun of? his hair? the way he walks? the way he talks? how goofy his face looks? that I'm the better-looking one?" Ed rattled on "Oh I 100% agree with that" I said smirking at Charlie "Agree with which one?" Lauren questioned "That Ed is 100% better looking than Charlie" I smiled "That's the dad charm for you, give a man a child and suddenly every girl in the world is interested in them" Lauren laughed "Hey! I was still better looking before I had kids" Ed defended "id believe that" I laughed, Charlie looked pissed off, but not like mad, just ready for a challenge, like he was challenging me "Well it's obvious that Lauren is the better looking one out of the both of you" charlie said, I looked at him shocked, two can play at this game "yeah but that's because she's taken, every guy would rather chase something he can't have that take the readily available option" I explained, Ed and Lauren exchanged looks "let's agree that we are all equally as good looking" Lauren said trying to settle the argument "you're dreaming" Charlie said. I rolled my eyes, "everyone ready to order?" Patty asked "Yep," we all said in unison.
