Chapter 27

Monique's Pov

I woke up the next morning with Archie lying up against me. he was the cutest thing. I got up, got dressed, had some breakfast, and then grabbed Archie and went to the shops. 

I got some dog food first, and some snacks for him, I then grabbed a cute fluffy dog bed and a collar and lead. I felt like I had everything and I headed home. 

Charlie's Pov

I headed to the club for training and made my way to the locker room, got ready, and then headed onto the oval. training went smoothly, and the boys were all excited for the next game. we headed back into the locker rooms to get changed "How's Mon?" Ed asked "She's doing okay, she was struggling the first couple of days but I think she's got something to occupy her time now" I answered, "Has she found a hobby?" Ed asked "Sort of, I brought her a puppy," I said, "You brought her a puppy?" Ed asked to confirm "Yeah I did, a border collie, she named it Archie" I answered "So you're already buying her gifts?" he questioned "Well kind of, I did it so she wasn't bored, she was going insane" I replied "well that was very kind of you," Ed said. we continued to talk and we left the club, we bypassed the cafe where saw someone sitting there, she looked familiar but I couldn't work out where I knew her from. I said goodbye to Ed and left to go and get Reggie and then headed to Monique's house.

I knocked on the door, and she opened it "Oh my god is this Reggie? he's gorgeous" she said excitedly giving him a pat "How rude, don't even greet your boyfriend before you greet his dog" I said, she looked at me and smiled "hello" she said getting up on her tiptoes to kiss me, we made out way to her living room and i let Reggie off his lead, Archie was already running around like a playful puppy, Reggie began following him around, we kept an eye on them until they were comfortable with each other and then occupied ourselves but watching some TV. 

"thank you for coming over every day," she said "It's alright, I wouldn't get to see you otherwise" I answered "Well I could always come to your house," she said "That's true, how about tomorrow, ill meet you at mine?" I said "Sounds like a plan, I'll bring Archie" she replied. we stayed and watched a couple of movies and then had dinner, I then decided to leave because we had an open training tomorrow, so we said goodbye and I left.

the next morning, I got ready and headed to the club for training, it was already a lot busier than normal due to it being an open training, as I walked past the cafe I saw that girl again, I still couldn't work out where I knew her from. I headed to the locker room and got ready then headed out onto the oval. training was pretty quick since it was only an open one. we went around and signed things and took photos with the fans, I came round to the girl that was sitting in the cafe, "hey Charlie, do you remember me?" she asked, I looked at her confused "No I'm sorry, I see a lot of fans every day, I don't sorry" I answered "we met in Adelaide, you told me you weren't going to marry me because you have a girlfriend" she said "oh yeah, hi" I said, "well we know who your girlfriend is, and it's only a matter of time before the information comes out and she gets fired" she threatened "I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about" I said and left her and moved on to the next group of people. something about her just gave me the heebyjeebies. 

we finished signing and taking photos and headed back into the locker room, I went straight over to Ed "Can I talk to you for a second?" I asked, "Of course, what's up?" he asked, "Well there was a girl at the open training in Adelaide who asked me to marry her, and I said no because I have a girlfriend, but her friend was the one who posted on Twitter that is was Monique, she was here at the open training session today, and she threatened us," I said "what do you mean she threatened you?" he asked, "she said that it's only a matter of time before the information comes out and she gets fired" I explained "you need to tell Brian," Ed said "but he said if he hears about this he's going to fire her," I said "but this can impact the whole club, you need to tell him," Ed said "alright ill go up there now, thank you," I said to him leaving and headed up to see brian.

I knocked on the door to his office "Come in" he said, "Hi Sir, can I talk to you for a sec?" I asked as I walked in "Of course Mr. Curnow, what's the problem?" he asked, I explained everything to him "alright, it seems we have a problem on our hands" he said "What should I do?" I asked him "There isn't much you can do, just be extra cautious, she is clearly going to follow you or do something to threaten this relationship. Just be careful, and if anything else happens let me know and I'll get the police involved," he said "Okay no worries, I'll keep an eye out" I said, I thanked him left his office, and headed down to my car letting Monique know I was on my way to home. 

I arrived home and Monique was sitting in her car waiting for me "Hey, we need to get inside" I said to her grabbing her out of the car and getting her into the house as quickly as possible "whats going on?" she asked "sit down, I need to tell you something " I said to her and we sat down on the couch "you remember that girl that was at the open training in Adelaide? the one who wanted to marry me?" I asked her "Yeah, and her friend put out that tweet about us" She answered "Yeah, well she was at the open training session again today, and she threatened me, threatened us," I said "What do you mean?" she asked worried "well she said that it was only a matted of time before the information comes out and you get fired," I said "so she wants to break us up?" she asked, "I think so, so I spoke to Ed who told me to tell Brian, so that's what I did, he said to just be careful, we are unsure if she is following me or not, but if I see anything or anything new comes up he's going to get the cops involved" I explained "oh my god, this is horrible, who would want to do this?" she asked "I don't know," I said hugging her, she was crying "it's okay, we will work this out," I said to her. 

we spent the rest of the day cuddling on the couch watching movies and then we cooked dinner and then Monique left and went home.
