CHAPTER 32

Monique's Pov

After Charlie left I was lost.
I didn't want him to go, but I also didn't want to force him to stay considering he wanted to go home.
He left pretty quickly and I was kind of expecting a longer goodbye.

I went straight to my room, not wanting to go anything for the rest of the day.

I felt like after what's just happened, Charlie would want to spend the time together. But I guess not. I was going to message him, see what was going on,  heck if he was okay, just he left abruptly and I didn't want him to feel like I was clingy, so I decided against it.

I decided to spend the day watching Netflix and eating ice cream. Even though I was suspended I still wanted to enjoy my day.
I must have fallen asleep while I was watching tv, because I woke up to my phone ringing, it was Charlie.

Charlie: I'm sorry

Monique: what for? I asked, I had just woken up and wasn't fully aware of what had happened or what was going on.

Charlie: for just walking out like that, so abruptly

Monique: it's alright, Charlie

Charlie: no it's not, I didn't even think about how you were taking this whole situation, I just thought about myself and I knew I wanted to be alone. Did you want to be alone?" He asked

Monique: not really

Charlie: alright I'm coming over

He said, I heard rustling on the phone and then a car starting

Monique: you don't have to

Charlie: I'll be there in 10

The phone hung up and i sighed. I releuctantly got myself out of bed and made my way downstairs, I turned the tv on in the living room and conintued watching my show waiting for Charlie.

About 15 minutes had gone by and I had no idea where he was, he still hadn't arrived, I started to worry so I called him. No answer.so I called again, still no answer. I turned off Netflix but left the tv on and went to go out the front when the news on the tv came on. "There have been reports of a serious accident all emergency services are at the scene, we will have more information soon" the lady said, I panicked cause the road they had mentioned was the road to my house from Charlie's. I called again, and again, and again. No answer.
Please please please don't let it be him, I felt hopeless so I got into my car and began driving to his house knowing I was going to be on that road and hopefully be able to tell if it was him or not. As i got closer i could see flashing lights, i pulled the car over and got out not even bothering to turn it off, i ran as fast as i could, there was tape blocking the area, but i didnt care adrenaline was running through me, "ma'am, you cant come through here" one of the pollice officers said "my boyfriend was on this road, i need to know if its him!" i screamed starting to cry, i had no control of this situation. "ma'am im sorry, but i cant let you through" the police officer said, by now i was a blubbering mess "Charlie!, Charlie! Charlie!" i screamed looking around trying to find him.

Charlie's POV

while i was driving to Monique's house two cars in front of me collided, it didnt look good, i immediately pulled my car over and called emergency services while i approached the car, i couldnt just sit there and not try to help them i approached the car closest to me "hello, can you hear me?" i asked there was no response, i approached the drivers side and saw a lady completely passed out, well i hope she was just passed out, i assessed the scene and had decided i was going to try and get her out, it didnt look like she was stuck so i wasnt at risk of making it worse for her, as i went to grab her, her eyes fluttered open "my baby" she said then passed out again, i panicked, there was a baby, in here, i took a step bck and looked into the back seat, there was a baby, eyes closed, i tried to open  the back door, it wouldnt budge, i started pulling it harder, i needed to get this door open, what was taking the emergency services so long!

i kept pulling and pulling on this door, i could feel it getting more and more loose so i didnt give up, eventually, the door swang open, i didnt waste a second, i unbuckled the seatbelt and grabbed the baby out of the car, i didnt feel it breathing and i panicked more, i heard the sirens and the lights and ran over to them "please help, i dont think this baby is breathing, the mum is in the car passed out, she asked me to help her baby" i explained, a paaramedic instantly took the baby from my arms and other one escortedd me to the ambulance as well "im fine, jus help them" i said "we still need to assess you sir" the paramedic said, i sighed and let them do their jobs, it had been about 20 minutes, they wouldn let me leave, i knew Monique was going to be worried. i sighed and just watched the scenes unfold in front of me. 

"Charlie!, Charlie!, Charlie!" i heard, i stood up and looked around, that was Monique, where was she? i walked around and i saw her at one of the barriers the police holding her back "Monique!" i called out. "charlie!" she called agai once she saw me, i made my way over to her "im okay" i said as i  approached her, i saw the worry in her eyes, she grabbed my face and kissed me "what happened?" she asked. i gave her the run down of what happened and she smiled at me "my hero" she smiled and kissed me. i have to stay here, they wont let me leave, but when i can ill come straight to yours, i promise, now go home, i dont want you out here" i said " okay ill go home, i love you charlie" she smiled and walked back to her car.

after what felt like forever i was allowed to leave so i headed straight to Monique's.
