Chapter 20

Monique's Pov

the next morning I woke up but there was someone next to me, I turned my head and saw Charlie, I smiled remembering last night "Morning" he said "Morning" I replied "I should go, gotta get ready for training" he said "aww okay" I answered disappointed "ill see you in an hour" he said getting up and getting dressed, I walked him to the door, he kissed me goodbye "oh also, you may or may not get harrassed by my brother today" he said "what do you mean?" I asked "Well he's definitely going to grill me about last night, but I'm not telling him anything which he will probably take as we did everything, so just warning you" he explained "Okay no worries, I'll be ready" I laughed. Charlie left and I made my way back to my room, my bed still smelt like him, I didn't want to leave, but I had to work. I got dressed and had a quick breakfast before I got in the car and headed to the club. 

once I arrived at the club I headed straight to my office and put everything away, then as usual headed to the washroom to get the towels. I headed through the locker rooms and to the washroom and then made my way back through the locker rooms, Charlie was there now and so was Ed, as I walked out they both looked over at me, I smiled at them as I couldn't wave because I had the towels in my hands. Charlie winked at me and Ed waved, I bet I knew exactly what they were about to talk about. I headed back to my office put the towels away and began doing some of my uni work. 

Charlie's Pov 

"so did you have fun last night?" Ed asked "Yeah, it was good, Mon fit in really well" I answered "She did and Em loves her" Ed laughed "Yeah well now it's even 2 girls and 2 boys" I laughed "What about the aftermath?" Ed asked "The what?" I asked "Well you went back to her place didn't you?" he questioned "Yeah I did" I answered "And?" he pushed "And nothing," I said "You're not going to tell me?" he asked "no, a gentleman doesn't kiss and tell" I stated "you're no gentleman, now tell me," Ed said "no I'm not saying anything," I said, "not saying anything about what?" Jack asked overhearing our conversation, im glad he didn't know what we were talking about "Charlie won't tell me if he got laid last night or not" Ed answered, I looked at him wide-eyed "damn, on a Monday night?!" Jack said "shit must be serious," Jack said laughing "I'm not telling anyone anything," I said, "so you did then?" Jack said now grilling me "I didn't say that" I answered "but you also didn't say you didn't" he smirked and walked away. I looked over to Ed who was laughing "Was that really necessary?" I asked "What do you mean? now he thinks you got laid" Ed laughed "Yeah, thanks for that" I answered and walked away.

the rest of the boys were already out on the oval starting to warm up, I just finished getting ready and headed out to the oval myself. As I walked out there some of the boys looked over at me, I walked over to grab a ball to practice some goal kicking "Yo Charlie, heard you got laid last night, congrats man" Matthew said patting me on the back "Yeah well done" Mitch said, I just kept walking, this was all ed's fault, he blurted it out to the one person in the club who can't keep a secret and I think he knew what he was doing too.  I spent the rest of training being harassed by the boys, I finally made it into the locker rooms, got changed as quickly as I could, and then left the club, but not before quickly sending Mon a text letting her know I wasn't hanging around. 

Monique's Pov

I read Charlie's message and then continued working. the day went by really quickly. there was a knock at my door just as I was about to start packing up. "come in" I said, it was Jack "Hey Jack, what can I do for you?" I asked "I've been getting a bit of pain in my shoulder if you have a look please," he said "Yeah no worries" I answered. he sat down on the table and I began rotating his arm in different directions until he told me there was pain or discomfort "hey Mon, did you know Charlie got laid last night?" Jack said, "Oh did he?" I asked "Yeah, he won't tell us who though, it's annoying," he said frustrated "Well I don't think he has to tell you" I answered "But it's like he's got something to hide you know? like if it was some random chick off the street, none of us know her so what's the problem?" Jack explained "Yeah, but privacy is important Jack" I answered "Yeah I guess," he said. I finished and there didn't seem to be any spots of pain or discomfort, "I think you're fine" I said "Okay thanks" he said and left. I had a feeling he came in here to get my reaction to the news, I wonder if he knows something.

I left the club shortly after and headed home. it was so quiet and lonely without Charlie here,

Monique: hey you, what's your address I'm coming over

Charlie: oh are you now?

Monique: yeah I'm lonely

he sent me his address and I left, his house was only a 10-minute drive from mine which was nice. once I arrived I hopped out and knocked on his door "Hey" he smiled and let me in "Hey" I answered. I walked in, and his house was nothing like I thought it would look, it was so modern and clean "Wow, your place is so nice" I said "Thanks I try" he answered, we walked to the couch and sat down "how was your day?" I asked him "pretty shit," he said, "why?" I asked "Well like I told you, Ed grilled me about last night, but Jack overheard and tried to find out if I did, and he took my not answering as a yes, and by the time I got out to train all the boys were harassing me about getting laid, cheering me on, praising me, it was horrible" he explained "aw babe, that sucks" I answered "yeah, anyway, how was your day?" he asked me "I was pretty good, although, jack came in claiming to have a shoulder injury which wasnt true, I think it was just to tell me you got laid last night" I laughed, "I think he wanted to see my reaction," I said "yeah maybe, he doesnt know who with so thats probably annoying him" charlie smiled "yeah, so didd you?" I asked "did I what?" he questioned "did you get laid?" I asked "no I didnt, we made out for a bit and things got pretty heated bit we both decided that we werent ready so we didnt," he said "oo pretty heatedd huh? it was very kind of you to agree not to, I know how hard that must have been" I said "Trust me, that wasn't the only thing that was hard" he laughed as did I, and slapped his arm. 

I stayed at his house for dinner and we watched a movie before I decided to leave. "thank you for having me over" I smiled "Anytime" he smiled back, charlie walked me to the door "See you tomorrow" I said d"you too" he smiled and kissed me goodbye. I hopped in my car and drove home. once I arrived I went inside and got ready for bed. I then messaged charlie goodnight and then went to sleep.
