You were My Happy Ending

Chapter 35

Kiayo and Shoto sat by a nearby park. It was silent a first until Shoto cleared his throat.

"You've gotten so big from the last time I saw you, you were six around that time. I kinda regret seeing you grow up so big without me watching from afar until I saw you at Niko's school and studied making sure you were okay and got home safe." Shoto said

"Mom said you did  a lot of bad things to him was it true?" Kiayo asked

"I was bad to your mom and I am not asking for your forgiveness either, while your mom had a part of me he didn't have me as a whole. It did break me to see your mom crying in my arms to change and I just couldn't change. It took me years later, marriage and kids to understand what he felt when I was doing those stuff to him. I technically abandoned you giving up my parental rights because I was so inlove with your stepmom, I don't expect you to forgive me so easily and I don't want you to forgive me. I did however really want to meet you and get to know you at first it was the sake of the company and I had an eye-opener that life is too short for me to keep behaving like a bitter man. 

Your mom said it was better for me to get to know you when you were ready to know about me, so out of the respect I had for your mom I waited and years passed and here we are now. I am sorry whatever feeling you built up with knowing this secret. I just want us to live and be happy with our lives and I will completely understand if you don't want me in." Shoto said 

"What if I want the company?" Kiayo asked

"Then the procedures will be just like what your grandma said." Shoto answered

"Do you know how it feels to sit or stare into a mirror and asked why do you look so different from your siblings and coming to the conclusion that your mom may have had an affair and you were the product of it so many thing ran through my head only to be told that you have a different dad and he was a scumbag that did a lot of things to your mom and abandoned you. I have went through so many emotions in one sitting and it wasn't easy or nice." Kiayo said

"I am so sorry that I have inflicted those pain to you and I want to try and become better for you and I will. I have waited for years to meet and I won't let any inconvenience come in the way." Shoto said making Kiayo nod

"I want to trust you so let me do that okay, I will try to understand you as a person as well. We are all humans and we all make mistake. I won't get angry with your choice and if you get rid of me because your wife doesn't like me anymore." Kiayo said

Shoto hugged his son as he patted his back.

"I won't get rid of you, I want to dedicate these years of my life to you now. You missed out on me and I missed out on you so I want us to learn about each other." Shoto said pressing a kiss on his son's forehead.

This was only the beginning to happy friendship, happy families and happy relationship and happy co-parenting. Both Katsuki and Shoto had learnt to put their son needs before anything else. Kaminari treated Kiayo like a son especially when he had sleepovers and Katsuki and Izuku treated Niko like a son as well when he wanted to come and sleep over. 

Everything was now a happy ending and Izuku was Katsuki's happy ending.
