"Come on, Keep up!" Uravity yelled out to Deku as she jets through the sky over the big city. Using her thrusters in her suit, along with her anti gravity quirk, she can swiftly fly through the sky with great speed.
"I'm trying!" Deku yelled back as he used his air force move to propel himself a bit quicker. Using his float quirk, he can only go so fast in the air. However, using a combination of gear shift and air force, he can cover some amazing distance, but with the cost of stamina.
The two heroes make it over the central part of the city and begin to hover and watch closely for any suspicious activity.
"I wonder how long it's going to be before we spot any mech suits" Uravity questioned.
"Hopefully not too long," Deku replied.
The two of them float about for a good amount of time watching every street closely. So far, it's been a pretty slow afternoon.
After a while Deku got a notification on this phone. It was a text from a local business number simply saying 'Your order ready for pickup'.
After reading the message, Deku felt butterflies in his stomach. This was the first time he'd had this blushing feeling to this extent in almost three years! Uravity got a sense that something was not quite right.
"You know, it's pretty peaceful up here. With you and I... In the sky..." Uravity started, distracting Deku from his phone. "Not a lot of activity downtown, few clouds, and a cool breeze in the air."
"It's almost therapeutic!" joined Deku. "High up in the sky, only you and I. Nothing can bother us up here!"
"Yeah, except maybe some birds or an airplane" Teased Uravity.
"True" replied the green haired hero with a laugh. "I could never get bored of this" he claimed as he rests his hands behind his head and does a lounging on a hammock pose.
"Same here, but we still have to pay attention, you know" The brunette teased back.
A few moments went by and all of a sudden, there were a few identical white collared vans driving down a back road in the old factory district.
"Deku, are you seeing this?" Uravity asked, trying to get Deku's attention.
"Yeah, I'm seeing it," he replied back. "Aren't most of those warehouses abandoned?" he asked.
"Not sure" she answered. She then started taking photos and sending them back to Invisible girl back at HQ for a report. "Let's get a little bit closer"
The couple lowers closer to the ground to get a better visual of what is happening at the warehouses. They lay down on the roof of a building not too far away and begin using binoculars to spy on the trucks as they pull up to the old building.
Uravity's phone buzzed a few times. She checks her messages and gets a response from Invisible Girl.
"She just checked. The building has been abandoned for almost four years." she whispered to her partner. "Oh my god!" she expressed as she continued to read the text.
"What is it?" Deku questioned with a bit of worry.
"Look who the previous owner was." she explained as she turned her phone to her partner, and his face began to drain of color immediately. The message had an attached file with a record, with one sentence Invisible Girl highlighted for them. Detnerat Storage Facility.
"So, we might be onto something." Deku responded.
"We cannot be too sure yet, Deku." the brunette explained. "We still need to see what they are doing. Let's try and move in on the south side of the building and try getting a look through the window from that roof over there.
The couple made their way over to said roof and began looking in.
"No good. The windows are boarded up." Deku explained. The two began to inspect the building from afar to see if there are any points where they can see in.
"All the roads here are connected with drainage for water, right? You know, since we are so close to the ocean." Uravity asked.
"I believe so," Deku replied, somewhat confused as to where she was going with this.
"What if you went into the sewer and tried peering in from the storm drain across the road from the loading door?" she proposed.
"I'm not liking this idea," he began. "Why does it have to be me every time?"
"You love me, don't you?" Uravity pleaded with puppy eyes.
"Ugh, you owe me" he demanded.
"Anything but sewer surveillance!" She said sternly with a large grin.
Deku quietly floated down on the other side of the building and to the road. He went over and lifted the manhole cover and instantly was overwhelmed with the mildew scent coming from below. He looked up to see his girlfriend giving him a big thumbs up from far away.
He climbed down and did a quick coms check before advancing near the building. There was a storm drain on the side of the road right in front of the building. Deku could see inside the doors between the trucks.
"Okay, I am across from the loading bay, and I can see in" He explained over the radio. He began to scar the area, and then saw it.
"Oh no." Deku shuddered.
"What is it, Deku?" Uravity questioned over the coms.
"I think The Director was right." he replied. Inside were several large crates labeled Detnerat. One crate appeared open with a large suit inside, two guys were working together to set it up, while there were two more crates loaded into a moving truck ready for transport.
Suddenly, the suit turned on, as one guy ran into the truck and started it.
"We have a problem," Deku warned.
"Dek– I Can't– Interfer-ence–" Uravity's coms began to break up.
'Oh no, don't tell me this is someone's quirk' Deku thought in a panic.
He then looked back through the storm drain and noticed one suit powering up. They were on to them.
