It was about five thirty in the evening when Izuku pulled up to their house after work. It was a pretty busy day out on patrol. He was able to stop a bank robbery and rescue an old lady from a car accident.
He walked up to the front door and as he began to try and unlock it, the door swung open with a young girl with light silver blue hair lunging towards him.
"DEKU!" Eri screamed in excitement.
"Eir! I'm so happy to see you! What are you doing here?" Izuku expressed excitement and confusion.
"She is joining us for the weekend! Aizawa has a field trip with his students." Ochako explained.
"Well this is an awesome surprise! I'm glad you get to be a part of our family night!" the green haired young man explained with glee.
"You better get cleaned up. My parents will be here any minute now." Ochako explained.
Deku headed to the bedroom and got ready for dinner, while Eri set up the table. Meanwhile, Ochako was in the kitchen setting up the counter for everyone to plate up.
Soon the Urarakas showed up to the house. Not long after, Toshinori joined them as well.
"I am here! With a side dish!" the old hero cheered as he entered the house.
"Are you ever going to drop the 'I am Here!' thing?" Ochako teased jokingly. Suddenly both Izuku and Toshinori looked absolutely offended by her comment.
"It was a joke!" Ochako defended.
Both boys looked at each other and nodded to forgive her... Hesitantly.
The atmosphere was calm and relaxing as everyone was talking. Mrs. Uraraka was chatting with Eri, while Mr. Uraraka was talking to Toshinori and Ochako.
Finally one last knock came to the front door. Everyone was excited when Izuku led his mother in, however something seemed off.
Both Inko and Toshinori stood silent as they looked at eachother.
"Umm... Good evening Ms. Midoriya..." Toshinori began hesitantly.
For years Inko and Hisashi had grown apart due to the distance put between them. Izuku's father was absent for most of his life. The couple eventually realized that it was not fair to anyone in the family to continue on the way they had been living.
Inko had spent a good amount of time getting to know Toshinori after he revealed what he had done for her son. Shortly after the war had ended, she made the divorce official with Hisashi. The decision was mutual. Neither party was there for eachother.
Both Inko and Toshinori had been seen with each other more and more as time went on. Things between the two seemed promising, until the day that All Might died.
The last time Inko saw him was right before he was admitted to the hospital. They had dinner together and he had tried to cut things off there, trying to avoid hurting her in the long run. However, he couldn't bring himself to end it there. It was easier for him to just die.
Although, it was not much easier for either person. Before Toshinori left for the United States, he checked in on everyone from a distance one last time. It was a rainy night outside of Inko's apartment. He stood outside looking into the window from across the road. He saw her crying on the couch holding Izuku in her arms.
The thought of what he had done to them emotionally hurt him more than any wound that All for One gave him.
"There's no reason to be so formal Toshi... You can still call me Inko." The woman explained faking a smile.
