Arc 1 - Chapter 5 | Coping With Thoughts

It's been about two hours since the meeting had concluded, and tensions were about as high as they could be. The absolute worst case scenario could be the return of the Liberation Army, or whatever it could be evolved to now.

Members of the Intel Division were meeting together to create a strategy for investigations. Leading this mission was Invisible Girls and Vantablack, who were both U.A. students.

"I have a feeling we're going to be on an aerial patrol later, Deku" ,Claimed Uravity in the common area to the group of friends sitting around. The group consisted of Uravity, Deku, Shoto, Bakugo, Tsu, Red Riot, Chargebold, and Ingenium.

"Sucks to be a flying hero!" yelled out Bakugo.

"You know you can fly too, right?" Questioned Shoto.

"Yeah, but not like that you idiot!" shot back Bakugo.

"You know, for as much as you've grown in the last few years, not much has changed" claimed Chargebolt.

In the last few years, Bakugo had changed some, however. Some of the biggest changes had to be his extremely short temper is now lengthened to just short, and he had become more mature.

He had learned to not scream at victims, as well as changed for a more modest hero name than Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight. He now goes by the Explosion Hero, Dynamo!

"We might get a mission request from Hagakure later for an overall patrol." Explained Deku, ignoring the tension towards Denki coming from Bakugo.

Mission requests work like a team up mission. A division leader can formally ask for members from other divisions to team up on specific cases depending on the situation. For example, Uravity and Deku commonly get asked to do aerial patrols together since they both have floating abilities and can cover a lot of ground for surveillance.

Other times, The Combat Division will call upon other members best suited at the moment for villain attacks. More times than not, it's usually Deku calling on Ochako, giving her an excuse to go out and battle once in a while between rescue missions.

"Well, she seems pretty busy at the moment, so we might get notified later on," Uravity explained. "So, how's everyone else holding up?" switching topics to see how everyone else is handling the matter.

Everyone appeared a bit silent towards the question.

"We cannot let this bring our spirits down." blurted out Inginium. "I know what happened back then, but if we do our job and stay motivated, history will not repeat itself."

"Yeah man, you're right" Replied Red Riot.

"There's nothing to worry about! Not yet at least!" Explained chargebolt not entirely realizing how rash his response was.

"If your wife was here, she would have jabbed you for saying yet, you know" Dynamo shot back.

This was another huge development since graduation. Jiro and Denki did not wait too long to get married. However, they were dating a lot longer than they led the rest of their peers on for.

Earphone Jack actually had a major role in the Intel Division! Using her quirk, she was perfect for gathering intel through walls and picking up conversations.

The group talks for a little bit longer and some go back to their offices for work on debrief paperwork, while others wait around on standby.

Only the main three and Uravity remained.

"Well, I need to finish my debrief from yester-" Shoto began and was quickly cut off.

"Oh, not so fast Icy Hot," Demanded Dynamo. "You still have something you need to tell us about." he explained in a devilish manner.

"I really don't think now is a good ti-" Shoto was once again cut off by Deku this time.

"You promised that you would explain yourself, didn't you?" reminded Deku.

"Yeah, and I want to know how it went as well!" ordered Uravity.

"You told her too!?" Shoto asked, feeling betrayed.

"Of course I did! now spill!" Demanded the all for one user, now leaking the tendrils of black whip ready to detain him.

"Fine!" Shoto gave in. "Momo and I have been talking again for the last few months. For a while, a lot of us split ways with her since she decided not to join the I.H.O. like most of the class.

She began regretting her decision, because she was missing her friends, but most of us didn't have time outside of our work as well as her's at UA." The boy explained.

"I didn't know she felt that way." began Uravity. "I know it's been a while since we've talked, but I thought things were great between all of us." she explained, a bit heartbroken for not realizing things were not as they seemed with a friend she thought so dearly close.

"I don't believe there is any animosity between any of you as far as I can tell. However, I would reach out to her whenever you have a chance. She truly does miss us all." Shoto explained.

"But, continuing on, we ended up running into each other at the store a few weeks back. We began talking and realized that we had so much to catch up on. So, she asked me out to dinner one night, and I said yes. It wasn't until a few nights ago that I realized that the few times we met up together were dates though." he explained.

"No offense, but I'm not surprised." Said Dynamo without thinking.

"At Least I had a date." Shoto shot back this time. Right after that comment Deku and Uravity took a couple steps back as they heard sparks coming from Dynamo's hands.

"Anyways." Shoto continued, "We went on another date last night, and I think it went well. We had a nice dinner at the new fancy place at the corner downtown, and I paid for the meal" he explained.

'Oh thank god he knew to do that' thought Uravity.

"Well, I'm happy for the two of you!" expressed Deku. You know, you should bring her by one night we could all catch up!" he added.

"Yeah! We could all meet up in town and hang out!" Uravity joined in.

"You morons go enjoy your double date. Just tell the ponytail I said hi" Responded Dynamo.

"We'll find a way to drag him along," Uravity commented. Instantly Dynamo's face lit up red with anger.

Just a moment later, Deku and Uravity's phones got a message through the Sentinel Portal App (S.P.A). This was their platform of handling everything between all the divisions amongst all the different HQ's across the world.

The message thumbnail read on both devices: "Formal Mission Request. This is Pro Hero Invisible Girl asking you to become a part of this mission,"

"Knew it" called out Uravity looking at Deku with a Wink.

Another fluff chapter, but a good transition to the next chapter!
