"Sorry guys, if I'm running behi-" Uravity began as she walked into the briefing room and was immediately distracted by Deku's costume.
"Izu... Do I even want to know" She asked.
"It's a long story," Deku replied.
The Director was at the front of the room with his palm to his face trying to comprehend the situation.
"Now that we are all here, let's please move on from... whatever this is" The Director pleaded.
The room was full of higher up division leaders and members with high influence. The goal was to have a quick meeting, and have each division plan out the rest of the details with their teams.
"We have new intel from the crime scene. We found some record files, and other pieces of evidence leading to Detnerat manufacturing the mech suites off radar. In the suit that was taken from yesterday's battle, there were motherboards each showing data being manufactured at multiple locations." The Director explained.
"We have narrowed down our search to five locations to where parts for the suits could have been manufactured. All of which are under ownership of Detnerat. As of tomorrow, we will be investigating these locations. The intel division will have the rest of today to prepare." He continued.
"We will also need to subdivide the combat division to be on standby, just in case of an incident like yesterday where backup will be needed. We ask that for next week, the rescue division will act as reserves to the combat division, unless natural disaster strikes, or any other call that requires your specialties." The Director asked.
"Yes Sir!" called out some of the heroes.
"Good. That is all for now. Dismissed" announced The Director.
All the heroes left the meeting, and the division leaders called in their individual teams to their sectors for an update.
Some time goes by and all teams are up to date. Now, everyone is on standby for the time being and started to make their way to the common area. Some of the heroes ended up leaving for patrol duty.
There was a rotation in place. A third of the heroes would rotate every few days to go on patrol duty. Group one the first day, group two the second, group three the third, and start all over.
"Thank god!" cried out Dynamo. "No patrol for me today!" He expressed with glee, which was almost concerning knowing his nature.
The patrol rotation was pretty simple. All it required was for the heroes to walk the streets and respond to any activity possible. Sometimes the plan would change when specified, like Deku and Uravity's aerial patrol yesterday.
"Well, it looks like I'm doing patrol two days in a row," said Uravity, slightly irritated.
"Weren't you telling me yesterday how excited you were to finally be back in some action" Deku teased.
"Yeah, that was during a battle though. Usually nothing happens on patrol these days." she explained.
She was onto something. Over the last year or so, there has not been nearly as much crime on the street. It is starting to return back to how it was before All Might retired.
"Well, I think you can blame your boyfriend, The New Symbol Of Peace for that," Joked Ashido.
"I can't take the credit for all that! Especially with all of the other heroes out there fighting every day." Deku replied all flustered.
"Well, that would be true, if there were as many heroes as there were back then." Ashido replied.
Ever since the war, the number of heroes had not quite gotten back to where it was. So many pros either lost their life or quit. The schools simply are not teaching enough heroes at the moment. A complete opposite from when they were all in school where there was a surplus.
"You know man, Ashido makes a good point!" Red Riot chimed in.
Dynamo was becoming visually irritated by the conversation. He still had a bit of jealousy that Deku was the number one. Especially after how many times he had practically died to protect him.
"Where's my credit you damn extras!" he boomed out. "You know, I was there for all those battles too!"
"Yeah, he deserves a lot of the credit too!" Deku added on, trying to get some of the attention off of him.
"I think it's time we head out for patrol" Red Riot explained, trying to move on past this conversation which turned south way too quickly.
The heroes left the facility and headed on their way for patrol. The remaining heroes had an office day waiting to be on call, and did research and training.
A few hours had gone by and Deku and Dynamo were doing some combat training to sharpen their distance attacks. They went onto the side lines of the gym and took a quick break.
"Hey Kacchan, I got something I want to show you!" Izuku said as he reached into his bag.
"Oh god, please don't be another notebook," Bakugo pleaded under his breath. Instead of another dreaded notebook, Izuku pulled out a small box.
"It's done! I had to go pick it up this morning" Izuku explained, showing him the ring he got for Ochako.
"Is that why you came in wearing that stupid disguise?" Bakugo asked, almost laughing.
"Yeah, it wasn't my original plan, but too many people recognized me on the street while I was heading into the jewelers." The green haired boy explained.
"So now that you've got that, when are you planning to Ask her?" the explosion boy asked.
"Well, I have a reservation tonight at a fancy restaurant. I was thinking of asking her after we finish there." He explained.
"Not the worst idea I've heard from you. But I really thought you would think of something more elaborate." Bakugo explained.
"Well I wanted to, but I really don't know what I'm doing. Also I want to make it subtle." Deku explained.
"Well, best of luck tonight, I guess. You better be damn sure to let me know how it goes, or else!" Bakugo demanded.
"I will! I Promise."
