Several hours had passed since Izuku and Toshinori had come back to the house and exchanged their overly emotional heart to heart.
In this time, the two continued to talk about events that had taken place in each other's lives.
Izuku explained how he had become one of the leading heroes in the county's government hero organization and how he had begun making plans to start a life with Ochako.
After a while, they took a break from their conversation so Izuku could call his mother and explain that everything was alright. During this time, Toshinori left to go grab something for lunch.
Izuku dialed his mother's contact and she quickly picked up.
"Hey mom, I'm assuming you heard about what happened yesterday?" Izuku asked over the phone hesitantly.
"Why, yes I did, Dear." Inko explained in a concerned tone.
"I just want you to know I'm alright." Izuku continued on
"Mh hm..." she responded over the phone.
"Mom, I swear I'm okay!" Izuku explained hearing her tone.
"That's not what's bothering me dear." Inko began. "I saw a man on the news who rescued you. The reporters had their theories..."
It had just clicked for Izuku. All Might did not officially state he was back to the public. At the moment, there were only theories about what transpired the other day.
"Yes... That did happen..." he explained.
"Son, be completely honest with me. Are the theories true?" She asked.
"Which ones specifically?"
"You know which ones, dear..."
"Yes... It's him..." He explained.
The call went silent for a moment.
"Mom? Are you still there?" Izuku asked, unsure if the call dropped.
"Yes, I'm still here." She began. "If you see him again, just tell him I said hi..."
"Okay? Will do." Izuku replied, unsure of why his mother sounded so disappointed.
The call went on for a little longer after she refused to continue talking about All Might. Izuku filled her in on Ochako's situation and said that she would be fine in a few days. They ended the call and shortly after Toshinori came back to the house with take out food for lunch.
The two set things up at the dining table to eat when a loud aggressive banging can be heard at the front door.
"Who could that be, young man?" Toshinori asked confused as to who would be here this time of day. "Don't you have a doorbell?"
"Come in, Kacchan!" Izuku yelled, not even looking up.
"How do you know it's him?" Toshinori asked, puzzled.
"I can just tell by how aggressively he is hitting my door." Izuku replied.
Bakugo entered from the front door, beginning to speak.
"I tried finding you at the hospital, but that damn nurse told me you had already left wi-" he began and cut himself off when he walked into the dining room.
"With him!" He yelled as he stomped over to Toshinori who appeared to be startled by the angry blonde.
"What are you doing alive, damn it!" Bakugo yelled and pointed his index finger into the former hero's chest.
The two stood there staring at each other for a moment before Bakugo's emotions began to take over.
"We all missed you, you decrepit bastard!" he choked out.
