It's been about a week since the attack at the I.H.O.
The HQ was in the process of being rebuilt and was about a month out from being fully functional once again.
Izuku and Ochako were driving towards Dogbah Beach. It was later in the evening just before sunset. A group of the heroes planned a celebration party for their victory.
Atleast, that's what everyone has been telling Ochako.
The truth was, Izuku had actually planned for this to be the night that he finally proposes to Ochako.
His plan was foolproof... This time... Again...
Everyone there was in on the plan. Even the girls who apparently "already knew"?
They pulled up to the parking lot above the beach and walked down the concrete stairs to see everyone there.
There were Tiki torches all around the coast, as well as fairy lights hung all over. The scenery was beautiful.
Ochako had this glimmer in her eyes. She was so full of emotions over the last week. Mostly being overwhelmed by their success in battle, and this was supposedly a reward for it.
"This is truly amazing, Deku." Ochako said with a light hearted smile. "They went all out!"
Izuku wrapped his arm around her shoulder as they stood at the base of the stairs just before the sand.
"It's been a while since I heard you call me that outside of work." Izuku teased her.
She looked up at him and smiled.
"It just felt right."
The two made their way through the crowd and began meeting up with their friends and co-workers.
Momo came along with Shoto, and she was able to hang out with some of the girls. A large bunch of the pro heroes who came to help showed up as well. Even Present Mic, who helped DJ the occasion.
Ida, Kirashima and Shinso were over at the food stand talking. Izuku made his way over to them as Ochako made her way to visit with Momo.
"Hey guys!" Izuku began towards his group of friends. "How are you all doing after the battle?"
"I'm doing just fine." Shinso replied in his usual monotone expression. "All I really did was control some of them and make them fight each other."
"I am fortunate to have made it out unscathed. I was able to combat quite a few of the mechs after they were weakened by Endeavor's Hell Flame. With a well calculated kick using my engines, I wa-" ida went on and on before he was interrupted.
"Hey, Deku!" Bakugo yelled out as he was coming from the crowd.
"Hold that thought, Ida." Izuku explained.
"No worries my friend! I know the situation." he replied with a wink.
Something about Ida winking, trying to be relaxed with his expression made both Izuku and Bakugo uncomfortable for a moment. They were too used to his proper state.
"Right... Anyways, Burn face and I need to talk to you for a minute." Bakugo explained trying to move on.
The two boys made their way closer to the pier. Shoto was waiting for them by the entrance.
"You got the ring?" Shoto asked.
"Check!" Izuku replied.
"You know what you're going to say?" Bakugo asked.
"Check again!" Izuku said once again.
He looked off to the end of the boardwalk. The moon was full and shined over the ocean.
