"Are you kidding me!?" Bakugo exploded. "You let this moron get in the way of your proposal!"
"I'm right here you know" Todaroki responded to his rash comment.
"Yeah, whatever. And congratulations." Bokugo murmured.
"Well Kacchan, I thought about what you said," Izuku explained. "I think I do want to do something more elaborate. Something more custom to her."
"What do you have in mind then?" Bakugo asked.
"There is this one place, where we shared our feelings with each other for the first time. It was right outside of the Troy facility, right before the last battle of the war," Izuku explained. "I think I want to do it on the ledge looking over the city."
The boys nodded in agreement.
"Not a bad idea, Midoriya" Todoroki began, "It definitely sounds like a significant place for the both of you."
"When do you plan to do it?" Bokugo asked.
"I think tomorrow night, since it's the weekend," Izuku explained. "We'll be off duty for the day, and actually have time to catch up on ourselves."
The main three were talking privately in Izuku's office. They had a meeting that morning, and they needed to gather some intel before heading over. But, they had enough time to catch up.
Meanwhile, over in Ochako's office, some of the girls are also catching up.
"We need to make a plan to hang out with her sometime soon to catch up," Ochako explained to her friends, regarding Momo.
"I still can't believe you ran into her like that!" explained Mina. "That is like, totally a setting that I would have barged in on, not you!" she joked.
"You don't think you bothered her, do you? Ribit." asked Tsu.
"Well, I don't think so? I mean, she did wave me over after all." Ochako explained.
"Why were you there anyway?" Asked Toru, the floating gloves in the back. "Isn't that place super expensive?"
"Deku wanted to do something nice for me," Ochako began. "It was just a date." she smiled at the thought and blushed thinking about last night on the beach.
"I don't know girl, it seems kinda random to go on a date like that out of nowhere" Mina added abruptly.
"What do you mean?" The brunette asked.
"Well, I don't suppose there's anything wrong with a date night," The alien looking girl admitted. "But something that fancy out of the blue seems super suspicious."
"Has he seemed off lately?" Jiro asked, wondering if maybe something had been wrong.
"Well, he has been acting a little nervous lately," Ochako began. "But, I think it may have something to do with the missions lately."
"Hmmm. I haven't seen him nervous in the field at all lately," Mina started. "I do work in his division, so I really don't think that's the case, girl."
Ochako thought for a second, and remembered that he did have a surprise planned.
"Umm, there is another thing," she admitted. "He said something about a surprise yesterday morning, and ran an errand in town before heading into work, but at dinner he said it would have to wait another night."
This was all the context Mina needed.
"OH MY GOD!" she shouted out.
"Yo, chill," Jiro stressed, backing away from the mina bomb that just went off.
"He had a surprise for you, and planned a fancy dinner..." Mina began hoping the others would follow along. Ochako just nodded, not really getting it yet.
"However, you ran into two other friends who were having a big night, most likely being the reason to postpone the surprise..." Mina continued.
It finally clicked for Ochako, and her face began to light up red.
"Y-You d-don't think he's-" she began stuttering not knowing what to think.
"I THINK SO!" Mina shouted out.
"Girl, you really do need to learn to hold back your excitement." Toru stressed this time.
"I d-don't know what to think," Ochako explained. She went back to her desk and sat down deep in thought.
She kept thinking to herself. 'Am I ready for this? Would I make a good wife?'
"Ochako, are you okay?" Jiro asked, snapping her back into reality.
"Yeah. It's a lot to take in," she explained.
"What would you say?" Mina asked.
"I don't know," Ochako began. "I love him more than anyone in the world, but would I be a good wife?" she said, somewhat distraught.
"Girl, snap out of it!" Mina started. "There is nobody more perfect for that boy than you!"
"And, the fact that you care to even ask yourself that means yes," Jiro explained.
"Then Yes." Ochako added bluntly without thinking. "I would tell him yes."
The room fell silent for a second. Ochako realized what she just said and clasped her hands over her mouth beginning to tear up.
"Oh no, are you alright?" Toru asked, worried.
"Y-Yes. I just never thought this would happen." Ochako said, tearing up more. "I'm just so happy. I hope you're right"
*DING-DING-DING*
The intercom system rang out, followed by a message.
"Attention heroes, the morning meeting will commence in the briefing sector in ten minutes, thank you." A woman's voice announced.
"We should probably get going," Ochako stated, standing up and grabbing some papers from the printer.
The girls began to walk out of the room, but before Ochako could walk out, Jiro stopped her for a moment.
"Look, When Denki proposed to me, it was the best day of my life." she began. "I felt the same as you when he asked, and I was so scared at the moment."
Ochako looked at her confused about where she was going.
"I asked myself the same things. But one thing that did not pop into my head was no, and I am happy as I could be with that moron." She continued. "So be honest with me, for one second there, did you think that your answer would be no?" she interrogated.
"No, not at all," Ochako said confidently.
"Well then, he is the one for you."
Hey all, just wanted to make an update! I will be posting twice a week now! (Tuesdays and Fridays!) I want to hurry up and finish this arc of the story. I have been writing several chapters behind the scenes and I want to have a completed story out as soon as possible!
My plan is to release Arc-1 as a completed book with a complete story. I will be taking a short break as I write Arc-2 and release it as it's own book! I want to take my time with the second part of the story and make sure it is amazing!
This idea came from a personal realization that I hate waiting for a story to be finished, or see that it was never completed. I want to make sure that does not happen with this story.
